So this last week, I noticed PS was carrying the new Ego-T Mega tank system, and thought I might give it a try.

My initial impressions so far, are "meh".

When I first got it, the first thing I did was attempt to blow out some primer liquid by blowing through the battery end of the atomizer, which is a force of habit from previous Ego-T attys. Very little primer came out, almost none at all. I thought, there must not be much in there.

The first tank I opened, I tried to pry off the end cap to fill, and first noticed it was very difficult to get off. I kept at it for a moment and managed to snap it off with my fingernail. I loaded up about 3/4 of the way with Firecracker at 1.6%. I made sure to take note of the way everything was lined up in the atomizer, and slipped it back in. It is a very tight fit, but I managed to pierce the tank, and I let it sit for a few minutes to wick.

After the appropriate amount of time had passed, I screwed it onto my Ego battery, and started to give it a go. I immediately experienced a gurgling sound, and got juice in my mouth. It was leaking! It had wicked, but due to the leaking, was un-vape-able.

I removed the first tank, and loaded a second with a new approach, instead piercing the tank first using the atomizer, and then loading through the hole via syringe. This produced a result that did not end in leaking.

I've been using it for about 3 days now, and still, the flavor is quite "off". It's not terrible, mind you, but it's definitely off for Firecracker, which is usually such a strong flavor that I love, really kind of comes off weak and almost medicinal/plastic in taste.

I have not used it the entirety of the 3 days, because I just have a hard time getting past the flavor. It wicks fine, but seems to be an EXTREMELY tight draw, even worse than the original tank. I really want to like it, and hope that it "breaks in" soon, or I may have to let it go as another "tried and hated" experience.

Does anyone else have experience with this? It's very convenient for the capacity, but how can I get rid of the nasty taste? I have not burned it at all btw. It's been like this since the first moment. It even tastes the same after sitting overnight. Does it just take time and having to run more liquid through it? It's been through about 5ml so far.

I will update if my experience changes >_<

I typically use 91% isopropyl to clean my stuff, but I do have a lot (like, holy crap, a LOT) of vodka laying around I could use. Is it better? If I can accomplish the "cleaning" by just using it, I guess I'll just chain vape until I like it >_<

Hey DJ,

I'm not a tank user, so this is *rocky* ground for me! haha ... The tanks I have used needed quite a long break in. Just standard tanks taste terrible to me the first 24 hours.

Have you tried soaking it in Vodka for a couple days? Its more of an old school method for lots of primer fluid in atty's, but it may work :)

I once had an Ego-T. I never really got rid of that "taste" you are talking about. If they sell "everclear" where you live, you may want to try soaking your carts in that, vodka will work as well though. Also, double & triple flavor juices worked better for me, especially if they had menthol in them. Thin juices worked better than high VG juices. Also, I don't know how to best explain this.......but there is this little part in the tank mouth piece (i think it's to keep it so that you don't get juice in your mouth??), but if you pop that part out, you will get better vape & better flavor. Eventually, if you use the tank long enough it will work itself out.........but if you pop it out, you WILL get better flavor. ( & even though that piece is out, you still won't get juice in your mouth unless you tilt your head up and have the ego-t at a 90 degree angle) lol

I had an Ego-T long before the A tanks & B tanks came out, (i think that is just to hold different ML though). If I think of any more Ego-T advice, I'll update ya here.
