I'm starting to get sick of issues with the 510's, so I'm considering investing in an eGo-T or an eGo-T with passthrough, but I can't decide which to get. My local vendor only has the Mega w/pass and the standard eGo. The passthrough feature is a definite selling point as I'm at my computer quite a bit, but it's $10 more than the standard, and the standard still has great battery life. I've never used an either before, and honestly I love the analog feel of 510 and 808's, but everybody seems to swear by eGo's. From you experienced eGoers, what can you tell me about them? Is it true that flavors come through better, even with VG? I read a review of the passthrough where someone said that USB ports aren't powerful enough to handle vaping while charging, and you risk blowing out the USB port, battery, and even the computer. Doesn't make much sense to me considering that's the purpose of a passthrough....but like I said, I've never used one. Any input you guys could give me would be great!

It is possible to damage your pc running a passthrough. If your looking for better flavor and hit the kgo or epower is where i would direct you. With boge 2.0 cartomizer . The -t tanks mute flavor and are high maintenance.

Hmmm....what are the advantages of the kgo and epower batteries over the ego's? I recently got a 510-T kit to replace my 808 batteries and cartos. I found the tanks to be better than the cartos, but lately I've been dripping when at home. Hard to see myself going back. I'm actually on my third 510 battery since getting the kit because the charger they gave me was apparently defective (which is why I'm looking to upgrade in the first place). When I'd switch back to the 808 I was super disappointed. For me, there is no comparison between the tanks and cartos, but then again I haven't tried them on a beefier battery.

eGo's are regulated to around 3.2-3.4 volts...this gives a very consistent hit...the Rivas are regulated(I think) to around 3.7v, giving a consistent hit till the voltage(4.2v off the charger) finally drops below 3.7v...the Kgo is unregulated and starts out at 4.2v...while unregulated, it is big enough(1100mah) to last a good long time before you notice the drop in performance...these units are all the same diameter with the Kgo being a little longer....the E-Power is a regulated 3.7v mod...it features a drop in battery(like a flashlite) which has about double the life expectancy of the others and cost about 1/3rd the price of the others to buy replacement batts...it is about as long as the Kgo and around 50%fatter......

...Tanks...if you read around here a bit, you will find many who started on tanks and ditched them in favor of cartos or just dripping...they can be very fiddly to get working properly...with the fatter batts you can use low resistance gear for mondo performance over anything you have previously experienced...the Boge2.0ohm and SmokeTeK 1.7ohm XL(the Resurrectors) cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping really shine on 3.7v batts(available at other vendors as well)...CCV, with the great price on the 15carto bundle, adds a couple of drip tips, a syringe for filling(GREAT for first fill) and free shipping(which can be a little slow).......

...good luck on whatever your choices and HAPPY VAPING...............

In doing some reading and watching reviews, people are saying that the 1000 mAh eGo w/pass operates at 3.7v. Is that true? I'm wondering what a world of difference it will be with just my 510-T atty...

I'd get a 5 volt pass through. Highly doubt you'll hurt your computer using it's USB. If worried about the computer, get the wall adapter. I have 3 around the house that I got from Myvaporstore. The 5V actually comes in handy as an atomizer starts to go south. When they start to go the resistance goes up and the hit sucks off an ego. Throw it on a 5V pass through and get some more life out of it until the coil pops. I'm doing that right now with a BOGE SR. Very little hit in the car going to the bank. On my pass through as I'm typing this and it's perfect.

I vape VG on all my eGo-t's and eGo-c's without a problem. And I have eGo passthroughs (there are two types out there - one is only a passthrough and can't be disconnected, the other can be disconnected - I have the latter kind) and they charge and vape at the same time. Vaping with them connected still keeps the charge fairly full so that if you're in the car vaping with a car lighter adapter you can disconnect and use it as a regular batt once you've reached your destination with a full or near full charge. I'm with the others on connecting it to a wall plug/car lighter plug instead of the computer...

That said, since you have the 510 attys and cartridges, you might just try getting an eGo batt (they last 5-6 hours) and a cone which will give you a 'regular eGo' and see how you like that. If you like the feel of the bigger batt and the time it affords you, then pop for an eGo-t or eGo-c kit and you'll have an extra battery :) If you don't like it, then sell the battery on classifieds.

You can use the wall adapter with the passthru and end all worries about the USB on your PC. I and my wife use 1000mah EGO T Batts with my A attys and tanks, the batts last all day. We haven't had any leaks or probs at all with them. I made sure I ordered JoyeTech Ego equipment, I have heard that the knock offs have had some probs from leaking to early batt degradation.
Cheers and GL with your search.
