eGo-T Rubbery Taste & Juice Flavor vs Nicotine Content Question

My eGo-T atty started tasting like rubber then failed all together after only about 3 weeks old. I installed a new atty but the rubbery flovor won't go away, even with different juices. The new juice in my eGo-C didn't have a rubbery taste but the flavor was almost non existant. Also noticed the color of the low nic juice is a lot lighter than the original hi nic. Is diluted flavor typical of a lower nic content juice or did I just get a bad batch of Alien Vision's Boda's Bounty? Does anyone know whats causing the rubbery taste in my eGo-T eventhough I have a new atty, cartridge, & juices? Its a rubbery & almost rotten egg smell; disgusting. I blew it out, cleaned the atty in booze (Johnny Walker Black), & vaped like crazy to get rid of any manufacturing juice that may be in there from shipping. Could it be the "soft rubber" cartridge covers I bought? Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunatly you're learning about some of the drawbacks to the eGo/510 tank system. As was stated by KeysBum, your best option is to invest in a good cartomizer (Boge, Kanger, Smoktek) or a carto tank. You're going to continue to change your atomizer/tank and once in a while get lucky and get a good vape from your PV. But, time and time again the people at ECF that have "been around the block" will suggest that, the atomizer/tank system is not going to give you the best vape overall.

Sometimes it's the mouthpiece. The clear tanks give a funnier taste then the black ones and wide mouth delrin tips always have a funny flavor to me. Dry with a rubbery/plactic taste that lingers. Other than that, it's back to the tank system in general. It's only a great system in concept. It's on version c now, in only a few months on the market, and it still doesn't work all than well. Joye seems determined to make it work and folks are determined the next one will be awesome. Your best bet is to move on IMHO.

Thats a weird problem, I have the same pv, but it could be the atty, like keysbum said get some cartos, I recommend Boge 510 LRs

Its not a weird problem at all...thicker juices have a hard time saturating the wick and if you hit it too frequently...youll get a plastic burnt taste. The tank system is obnoxious IMO. Get a Boge cart...they work better, taste better, and hold more juice.

A 1ml tank is kind of a joke really.

Stevensbox i have had similar experience with the taste thing And also the varying vapor production I thought that having a direct drip from the tank would produce a more consistent vape. Bigtiime, is this a poor assumption? You think most prefer cartomizers instead? Why do so many people rave about tanks then? I'm confused. I have both and can't decide what I prefer. Thanks :)

you might be confusing Joye's direct dripping tank system with a tank that holds 3mls to 6mls of juice and is a clear shell that holds a cartomizer inside. This is what people rave about.

Direct dripping on an atomizer rocks! But Joye has tried to make it practical for carrying around...sometimes they work and rock....most times they are more about fiddling and less about enjoying the vape.

if your going to use bobas bounty in there expect nothing but burning flavor. the bobas is very high vg content which makes it thick, in turn leads to poor wicking, which leads to your issue now. in all seriousness drop the tank system and grab some somke tech LR ressurectors(1.7ohm cartomizers) or boge lr cartomizers.

Thank you for the advice. I would like to make the eGo-C work though. Its conveinience while driving for example, is unmatched. I have some drip tips on order and hope they'll work with my eGo-C for trying new flavors without having to fill a tank. But from what I'm reading, I think I'll try one of the cartomizers. I need to make this work, I can't go back to real cigarettes again (25 days and counting!).

Thick VG juices like Boba's are hard to use in -T tanks or cartomizers. Thick juices wick too slowly and atomizers can get hot and get burnt tastes, and cartos can singe. I stick with PG w/ 20% VG or less in cartomizers and usually -T tanks are happiest with 30% or less VG though some thinner 40-50% VG juices may work.

Most people who start with atomizer systems switch to cartomizers for everyday vaping (most popular cartomizers on Ego are Boge 2 ohm). For thick juices and occasional juices I use a normal non-tank atomizer and drip tip at home (like 510 atomizer and 510 drip tip).
