Hello! I got my EGO tank this morning, was very excited to get it! I filled it up with some DIY Maxboro 22MG 85/15 PG/VG liquid. So far the vapor has been awesome. No leaks at all, I read up a bunch on it before using it to prevent them. However, the throat hit just hasn't been the very good. It seems to be less than my normal 510 carts and definitely less than dripping. Is this normal? I always use this same e-liquid in my regular EGO and the throat hit is good. Maybe I'm just jumping the gun and have to break it in a little.....

I read many threads that mention the fact that the taste and TH are muted with the tank (A or B doesn't seem to make a difference in this regard). I got my tank a couple of weeks ago and can confirm that it is also what I have experienced.

Since I really like the convenience of the tank system I have just ordered a LR-Atty to see if it makes a difference.

On the plus side, I can use my ego batt with the 510 atty/cart and it works better than my 510 with the XL batts :)

confirmed washvap. especially the LR version is my favorite, side by side with a Bullismoker A2-T.
but sometimes a new atomizer doesn't work right out of the box. the good thing: because of its size its easier to clean, adjust and replace wicks. the coil itself is durable enough in my opinion.

Agreed, sometimes it takes a little fiddling with the wick before it works properly. Which is a turn off for some but they do last a WHILE if they are taken care of. But yeah, cleaning them is a breeze with a hemostat. Makes popping off the plate, easy as pie. Haven't had the need to replace the wicks though.

Anyways, your right about the coils durability. They can handle dry burns much better than other atties that I have used. Love the LR, it's a pretty nice improvement from the normal B atties. Like the added warmth that it gives and taste when I use it with tobacco juices.

The Type A ego-t atty's I bought 4 months ago now sit in a jar somewhere in the relegated bin along with my Malaysian 306 style e-cigs and the other 'failed' accessories I experimented with.

The ego-t batteries, however, are a permanent part of my regularly used devices.

I tried a few different things with the type A ego-t attys and no matter what all I got was subdued throat hit and flavour. I just couldn't bare to waste any more good liquid on this device. Having said that I've not tried too many different liquids on them and don't know whether the organic and naturally brewed liquids would perform well in them.

I find that some liquids seem to work okay in the ego-t type A atty's (especially the ones that dont have much flavour or too much flavour to start with). It seems to be very hit and miss.

I would say if it's not working for you, don't persevere too long, especially if you are new to e-cigs and want to ensure nothing tempts you to go back to analogs. Better to spend a bit more money up front and avoid that risk altogether.

The e-cig technology goes from strength to strength and there are a lot of good products out there. Maybe try the clearomizers and dual coil low resistance cartridges (various vendors) or map tanks (from Cloudsofvapor.com). They all do the same thing as the ego-t, just better. Dual coil carts need a 5v device as far as I know so ensure you check that it is compatible with your ego batt (but I think it isn't).

That's because of the atomiser which is a 302 (801) = loads of flavour/vapour but cooler hit and of course less TH. Form folks that are used to LRs they will notice this more.

type B's are great and type B LR is even better, but there are disadvantages.

negatives
1. type A's draw better due to its design IMO
2. LR (type A or type B) will absolutely KILL a 650 mah battery. They should provide warnings.
Do not use a 650mah on a LR atty!! This will drain it till it's dry. Li-Ions according to battery University should be
used till roughly 40-60% (can't remember) and recharged, then pulled off the charger and used again. Sitting on the charger, each battery behaves differently based on its internal circuitry, but batter university has more information on this
3. shorter life span on LR!! LR i think is much fussier in this sense..

positives
1. better vapor production / TH
2. type B's are obviously much better at holding alot of juice!

In general, i vape type A regular resistance when im on the 650mah, and keep spare juices on me when im on the go.
Type B i vape at LR but on occasion! its not my all day usage vape!

the draw varies with A or B, i have lots of both and can't say one or the other draws light/heavy

they don't drain them dry, they are "only" demanding more power from them, sure it shortens their lifetime a bit.
but in my opinion they last long enough. If we care so much about our batteries, we shouldn't vape any atomizer on anything less than an 18650. the electronics shuts them down early enough.

i see no need for a "Warning, don't use LR on 650mAh"
btw, i think my LRs live longer without any cleaning, the higher power seems to slow down the building of residue on the coil.

The tanks are great while the atomizers last, which doesn't seem to be very long at all. If the tank atomizers were priced like a cartomizer, or if they lasted as LONG as a cartomizer, they would be more realistic a choice to use. I was really sold on them at first until I realized how fast I was going through them, less than a week, sometimes just a couple days before they were barely producing vapor. The LR ones are a bit too harsh for me, though they are less expensive and seem to last at least as long as the regular tank attys.
