Hey Guys, I am glad to be here and looking for some help. I have researched enough to know that I want an Ego Twist (1000) with a Viva Nova. Money is tight right now, but have a budget of ~80 dollars. I am looking for the best bang for my buck and this combo seems to be it. I would like to try and get the Twist and Viva from the same place and hoping someone could help with some links.

I also need a charger. Will any of these basic 10-12 dollar chargers work with the Twist? What stores are yall using for your juice that would be compatible with the above setup? Links appreciated. However, since I am starting from scratch, would it be more cost efficient to buy a starter kit? Any links would be appreciated.

The reason I am asking for links is I am having a hard visualizing the exact set-up even after watching youtube. Being that money is tight, I do not want to get the wrong things.

Warmest Regards, Will P.C.

agree with the twist. My two cents are to go with the vivi nova if your just beginning. cartos can be tricky little critters if not done right. The nova comes with two extra heads in different ohms and you can get em on line for about $3. Clean and replace and your in business. As you can see every one has a different favorite. I'd like to have a carto/tank setup but haven't found one I really like so far. As far a juice is just buy small samples from a couple of different venders. There is a list of recomended venders and suppliers here on ECF. Stick with one of them a just try small amounts till you find something you like.
By the way Welcome to the forum. Happy vaping to you.

Will the vivi nova and the mini nova setup is the best thing I know of unless you want to get into rebuildables which are not for a beginner. You may also want to look at the vision 2.0 or the vision 3 stardust type. The only setback to the twist is it is hard to see the numbers on the dial (old age and bad eyes lol) But I ordered a vision spinner 1300 mah from here Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online Locally | Buy Cigarettes Online USA it is supposed to be easier to read

You will want 2 twists, probably a couple of vivi nova's and a few more replaceable heads for the novas, and an ego charger. You cannot use just any charger. Altsmokes has all of the above and sells their vivi nova tanks with 3 heads included (your choice of ohms) for $9.95. There is probably an ECF discount code for them somewhere around here.

A little dab of bright red nail polish right on the "4.0" volt mark makes this a non-issue for me.

This post says it all. There's little or no reason to get a "kit" any more IMO, especially if it's constant voltage. Variable voltage is undeniably superior overall, and VV eGo's (Twist, kGo VV ...) are just too inexpensive to pass up IMO.

I highly recommend at least two 650mah Twists (nice size), two chargers (for troubleshooting, or if one craps out), one (and preferably several) Vivi Novas (regular or Mini), and enough juice to last you (6ml x the number of days before you get more).

No-brainer.

Thanks for the help guys. I will be definaly going with the twist and viva.

What is the science behind the getting 'several' vivas? I assume it has something to do with the juice and flavor, but could be wrong.

Do I just take some juice and put it into the viva or is there other pieces to the puzzle I will need?

Hiya Will -

Nope, no science behind the >1 Nova thing, it's just that it's extremely nice to have one for each flavor you might feel like vaping at any given moment. It's a luxury that can be done without, as I'm proving right now since I bought three of them, have lost one of them (along with a 1000mah Twist), can't find the other one, and have been using just one for the last two weeks - but it's very nice to have one than one flavor readily available, especially when you're just starting out and the stakes are much higher that you stay off of cigarettes.

And yep, when you get the Nova, just unscrew the cap, fill it to the "Full" mark (it'll say "2.80 ml actually), let the wicks get fully saturated for a minute or two (tip the Nova upside down and swirl the juice all around - it won't leak or flood the atty), and then vape. If you ever get a dry hit, do the tipping-upside-down thing and/or fill it back up to the full mark. It's very simple really, and I went a full month on my first wick/atty without doing anything but fill the tank. Nice.

I would have more than one or two for different juices as well as for when you clean you'll have one ready to go. The viv nova is pretty much ready to go just make sure everything is tight and nothing is loose and fill it up

No worries, happy to help - and it's darn nice to know they'll let you vape in jail, 'cause the way I'm going I might just end up there myself. :)

Cheers, and happy vaping. :vapor:

A free place to lay your head and vape all day.

Do none of the vendors accept paypal because of the 18+ restriction?

It's that "breaking rocks all day with a sledgehammer" thing that I'm going to have to give a lot of careful thought to.

I think the PayPal thing has more to do with the mere fact that nicotine is involved, or maybe more accurately, the fact that e-cigarettes and e-liquids are the items being bought and sold. I might be wrong about this, but I think they prohibit e-Cig transactions while allowing cigarette transactions. If true: go figure. If not: never mind.

Litecig would have everything you'd need in one place, at decent prices, and I've had nothing but good experiences buying from them multiple times.

I threw everything you're wanting into a cart to check, and with shipping it would come in about $10 over your budget:

litecigstarter.png

That is with 2 Twists and 2 Novas (I added the Mini Novas, since they are a couple of dollars cheaper, and fit on the Twists so perfectly)
That also includes a usb to ac adapter, which you may not need. I myself have several around the house from cell phones and the like.
I also added a little cosmetic piece to that cart, the EGO Stainless Steel 3.5ml DCT Tank Cone. Totally not necessary, but it gives the mini nova such a nice, finished look on a twist, covering exposed threads, and stabilizes the tank as well. If you decide to go with the full size Vivi Nova, you would need the 5ml Tank Cone. Again, just cosmetic, so you could drop it without issue if that budget was completely firm.

Btw this is a great setup, I use them and love them.
