One of my Ego twist batteries singed my hand! (not sure if "burn" is the right word since it wasn't a 911 emergency or anything) Anyone have this happen?
Was it a short circuit? I've only had this Ego-c twist 650 mah battery for a couple months. On Wednesday, while I was vaping, my twist was set at 4.0, using an ego-T std atomizer/cartridge, suddenly it started getting warmer and warmer so I did the "5-click" to turn it off...but it kept getting hotter and hotter! It got so hot I ran outside and set it on a brick...watched it in amazement for a while, LOL, just in case it was going to self combust or something. It stayed too hot to touch for about 2 hours. Later when I checked it, it was cold and dead. It didn't click back on, so of course, it had fried itself and died.
I realize there are no guarantees for how long batteries will last, but I expected that when it's life was over it just would not re-charge, or not turn on, some day. I never thought it would suddenly over heat first, then die!!!!
Is this normal? I've never heard of it before. Anyone have this experience with a battery scorching ya?
I do remember reading somewhere that we should never put the batteries on the charger then go off to bed.
Should I now expect that my other newer ego-c twist 650 mah batts will do this too in a few months? I love these ego twist batteries because each setting on the dial changes the flavor and each flavor has it's own sweet spot. I hope it was just a once-in-a-lifetime thing and never happens again!
