I vaped on mine til it was pretty much dead. I've had it on the charger for about 4 and a half hours now. Same thing happened last night; ended up going to sleep before it finished charging. Was fully charged (the green light on the charger was finally on) in the morning.

Annnnnnnnd the light *just* turned green lol

Still seems like a long time to charge a 650 mAh battery. I was gonna go out and get a 1000 mAh Twist this weekend because I really like these compared to the regular eGo batteries but I'm not sure now. I don't want to constantly have to charge my batteries.

I wouldn't leave it on the charger for so long after it's fully charged (I think this was mentioned before, but I forgot to what post). Something about it won't help prolong the life of the battery...

You're right. I probably shouldn't do that. But I'm notorious for leaving devices on the charger long after they're fully charged. Phone, laptop, PV... I usually just set it and forget it.. I hate thinking EVERYTHING won't be fully charged, ready and waiting for me in the morning lol

After reading the stories of people having problems with batteries on the chargers, I no longer will leave things on the charger unattended. I had no idea phones, etc. could self destruct while charging! But, apparently they do and I don't want to be the "one" it happens to. Luckily, it is rare, but still....

I TOTALLY agree with the posts about battery safety and not leaving your batteries unattended while charging (including your phone)!

On a side note; however, be sure that you are aware of how LONG the 1000mah twist batteries are, especially compared to the 650mah. I got me a 900mah twist battery and it is less than 1/4" longer than the 650mah.

Good luck to you with whatever you purchase!

That's one gripe I have. I realize they need more room to put in the... (sorry, don't know the word) thingy.. thingies?.. that make the twist a VV.. but couldn't they make the battery a little fatter instead of ridiculously long?

I think I'll go for the 900 instead. Thanks, Paulette!

I got my 2 twist yesterday and charged them right away. Now I don't know if there was any charge on them when received, but I can say, the only green light I got was on the cable, not on the wall adapter, it stayed red. Speaking of power on the twists, mine is 5 pushes to turn on and off, but I thought there was an auto turn off feature, mine do NOT turn off automatically.

Well LiOn batteries are more forgiving then the old NiCad batteries but you should still not leave them in all the time. NiCad's would develop a memory. LiOn batteries don't do that. But with horror stories about batteries catching fire should not leave them in the charger unattended for long.
If any thing the 1000 should take longer but maybe the controller is different on the 650.
Then again humans built it so could be a slight flaw or that it's new.

Oh forgot a lot of the worries may be because there are now so many of the LiOn batteries out there. So someone is bound to have something happen. If you do something you are not suppose to to any battery like these something bad is bound to happen eventually. I had a Battery pack with the old NiCad batteries melt in my pants pocket. LOL Forgot to put on the safety cap and it shorted.
