I have the same issue, but I think it's normal. I'm using stardust style clearos on a eGo style battery and it gets hot near the atomizer (closer to the drip tip) and also near the threading where the fire button is. It's kind of the nature of the beast AFAIK. It has to get hot to make vapor, and the more you chain vape, the hotter it's going to get. TBH, when I am chain vaping and maintaining that heat, it vapes a lot better...

I really just wasn't sure if other people had the issue too or not as I just kinda started noticing it more. Oh well, it's about to become my backup anyway =)

Hi and welcome! Do you mean above the button where the battery screws onto the carto/atty? If so, yes they get hot. I can barely touch mine when dripping a LR306.

Yeah, right above the firing button. Just wasn't really sure if it was normal or if I should be more careful, but it seems as if it is a normal thing.

Yes its normal if you are holding your button down for long draws or chain vape without giving your atty time to cool down a bit every few vapes. When your ecig gets hot like that its time to let it cool just a bit before vaping again. Those that chain vape and don't let their attys cool down when they get too hot for too long find themselves with attys that die before they should ;)

I second this. If you're hitting the 10 second cutoff frequently on an eGo, you're probably taking massive drags. If you're hitting back-to-back-to-back, you're probably chain vaping.

There's nothing wrong with either of those scenarios. Just know that the longer/more frequently a heating element remains hot, the temperature will conduct itself through the means of its connections. Battery included. Give it time to rest. You'll be fine.

WHOOOAAA Nelly!!! I think that I'm having an epihany here.
Long full pulls, great TH, wonderful flavor, massive vapor...I think that I may have just outgrown my well researched, newly acquired answer to cigarettes.
I must be doing something wrong. 50-50 blend, 18mg, non-tobacco flavor, dripping on a 510...I don't want to like this but so much.
Well...better than the alternative.
Maannn...the ol' lady was right when she said I was having too much fun. She's gonna kill me if I start researching other tools. I got to push away from this forum.
