I have the SLB VV on a Vivi Nova 3.5 tank and LOVE IT! I just ordered the sleeve that will cover the eGo threads and set off the complete look. My only complaint matches everyone else; the firing button. While I like the fact that a flush button means I don't have to turn the device on and off every time I put it in and out of my pocket I would have loved for them to put a small nipple on it so it was more tactile to find.

Been thinking of making my own "nipple" for it, maybe some kind of glue that I could place on top of it that would raise it up just a touch. Anyone have any ideas on what I could use that wouldn't destroy or weaken the rubber that is on it? Was thinking hot glue would work if it didn't melt the rubber underneath but not sure how strong the hold or how well it would stay would be. I just want something that allows my finger to find it as it slides across the rubber ring so I know I'm in the correct spot to fire it. As I said I like the fact that it is recessed as opposed to sticking out like a standard eGo firing button.

This might work. You can get cabinet bumpers from Home Depot or Lowe's. Hemispherical Bumper Feet | Bumper Specialties, Inc

You know what...thats a pretty good idea! I could always take an exacto knife or razor blade to one to make it even shorter. How would you recommend gluing it? Would a super glue/krazy glue/gorilla glue work or just some hot glue? I literally just want a tiny bit more of a raised feel to the button and those bumpers would give that soft feel.

Im going to pick some up at our local Menards tomorrow, will do some research on using Gorilla glue on rubber and see what the potential problems might be.

Thanks for the idea!!

I would be very careful with superglue as its really thin. My advice if you want a bit more on it would be to get some decent epoxy and use that. Use a needle or exacto knife to scratch the button a bit to rough it up some and mix a little bit of epoxy and use a toothpick to put a very small drop dead center and let gravity do the rest. Just the epoxy alone should give ya another mm of raised area and will dry clear.

Wouldnt even bother with the bumper as theres a fair to high chance your get some glue inside unless you use such a small amount it might not be enough to hold.

Hot glue won't adhere to plastic or rubbery type materials very well. I glued a 5 mm flatback rhinestone to my Twist button using EC6000 glue which sticks to most anything and keeps things stuck. I applied the glue with with a toothpick. The rhinestone has shown no sign of budging.

If girly rhinestones don't strike your fancy you can get a manly plain, un-faceted metal version called nailheads in silver, black or any other color you like. They should have them at a craft store, a place that sells manicure supplies or you can get them on eBay. Search for "5mm nailheads".
