Lot of confusion around this!

You have eGo and Mega eGo batteries (650 mAh and 900 mAh respectively). The only difference is the battery length and capacity.

The atomizers is where the confusion is. The eGo can use Joye 510 atomizers in normal and mega varieties. When these a used a screw on cone is added for looks and to modify the airflow a bit. There are also the eGo mega atomizers which are wider than the Joye 510 with much larger cartridge capacities. The eGo mega atomizers do not need the cone.

If you use a regular Joye 510 atomizer with your eGo, you use these cartridges
If you use a Joye 510 mega atomizer with your eGo, you use these cartridges
If you use a eGo mega atomizer you use these cartridges

No problem. I'm probably not the best person for that as I've only ever used the regular and low resistance 510's and try to stick to what I know works! The LR's are certainly worth trying if you like a lot of vapour, but they don't last as long as the regular attys which is a downside. I've always been cynical of large cartridges as I've never found they wick very well (in penstyle atomizers etc.) and so I've never bought any mega 510 attys. I have read several comments praising the new eGo mega atty though, and reportedly they produce big vapour.

In addition to the Ego (510) cart and the Ego Mega (also 510 diameter but longer cart and atomizer) there are the Ego Mega Cone atomizer and cartridge (slightly larger diameter tapered cart and wider tapered atty) which holds about 1.5ml and the Ego Mega Cylinder Type B atomizer which is also different and holds 2.5ml. My favorites are the first one, the Ego mega atomizer that also fits a 510 or Ego battery and the last, the cylinder type B atty that holds 2.5ml.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store has all these. Welcome to awesomevapor.com - has the Monster atty which is same Joye mega cylinder type B for a lower price.

I'm using the Mega attys and carts and I love them! The carts take a little finagling, but once you get them figured out they're awesome! I've found that a Fluval plug works the best. Make sure you get the water polishing type. Polyfil is okay, too. I only fill them up with about 1.8ml just to make sure they don't leak. The vapor is awesome and they last me 2 to 4 hours depending on how much I vape, of course. Try them out! You'll never know unless you try...

I am not impressed with the Mega carts and Mega attys as far as vapor goes. Yesterday I tried one on a 900mah battery and actually got less vapor and less flavor than I do from the regular Ego attys and carts. Rather disappointing to say the least, especially after reading all the other reports of huge plumes of vapor etc.

Sigh

mmm... i think you got a defective mega or it needs to break-in, my mega atties produce almost double vapour than regular 510.

I haven't had much luck using the mega attys and carts, but I am persistent, so this morning I tried again. Blew out the atty because it had been sitting a while, and filled a fresh mega cart. It was working ok, but half way through my drive to work, I was getting no vapor at all. I was using it with the button pointing down, so I tried to reverse it and moved it around so the button was pointing up, and viola, I got plumes of vapor.

This has me wondering, when you are using your eGo, where do you like the button to be facing?

I will admit that the Mega cartomizers seem to be "hit or miss", especially with darker juices. At least it seems that way to me. I have a couple that I've refilled and the taste is alright, but the TH seems to have gone through the roof! I have to literally take tiny puffs so I don't go into a coughing fit. Sometimes the vapor production comes and goes, but I just assumed that was the nature of the beast with cartos in general.

Vapor production with the Mega attys and carts has been great for me!
