So, been using it for about a week, overall happy... but it just doesn't seem to be wicking very well. I will get 3-5 good puffs, and then taste like burnt, let it sit for a minute and might get a few more. Before long (no where near what ~2ml should last) nothing helps but adding more fluid... but the fill still has plenty of liquid in it.

Any suggestions? I tried blue foam plug but that just leaked like crazy, thinking about trying a full fill of blue foam next.

With the 510 I use factory batting, but only half of it, and it works well. Im with you, but on day 1 with xl atty. Same issues here. But I ordered 3, and 1- cant see the wick- 2- wick is wierd, and looks like iodine was dropped on one spot on bridge, and 3- seems ok with a wick. Its like the 3 stooges. Havent fired all 3 up yet, but number 1 is acting just like yours. I used it all day today with no issues though. Once I got home, it flooded, burned, you name it. SO far it must be carried or kept upright to vape regularly. But HUGE carts are wide open, so I see flooding being a big thing. Its like a rn4075 atty and cart on steroids.

I've tried just about every different way and configuration I could think of with the blue foam with the only working version being too inefficient to use. I literally did as Son said, stuffed it full. Had it packed in so much that I got just over 1/2 a ml in it. It worked more or less. I figured there wasn't any real point in going that route because I could just use regular 510 carts in a regular atty for that much fluid.

I have also tried a buttload of PTB, and two other types of filter foam (white and clear) with no luck yet. As much as I hate to say it, this cart type may be the only carts I have that work with the stock filler.

I would probably look to modding your fluid as a solution. Try thinning it out a tad with a little PGA. Thats what I ended up doing with some of my VG heavy fluids as they were to high a viscosity to work/wick well in the XL carts. Don't thin them too much though, as it will start to leak. These XL carts seem to like the viscosity to be at a very specific level, too thin and it floods and leaks, too thick and you have to wait every puff or so to let it wick.

The open end is just so stinking FAT and wide open, theres no stopping that fluid...but build is like a 4075, and hits like it too, so maybe that will help me figure them out. I like their purpose, and I can see filling a great need. But they DO use more liquid. Ive went through DOUBLE the liquid today I usually do. But Im getting a great vape...when its happy. The stock filler SHOULD work, because its not too dense or too fluffed due to its massive size.. But so far this lil beast is a cross between a 4075 and an 801. I never figured out the 801, and 4075 was tricky. This will definetly be a challenge, and Im going to shoot through at least 10 atties and 50 carts figuring it out. So far its simply keeping the cart elevated so it flows. But Im up for this challenge because I think the rewards will be worth it. Im using pg liquid right now though.

So far I've gone through two carts with stock filler material. I just used them until they got grungy looking, then took the filler out, washed it, dried it and reused the filler until it got "too used". I don't want to call it melted because that brings up a different image than it really is....its just, well, not new-ish anymore.

I have settled on using a 90/10-ish ratio for PG/VG Dekang/Humco and it has been working fine for me. For my VG homemade stuff, I've been cutting it with PGA to match the viscosity.

My 801 atty based units (Stick V3, Minipipe, Penstyle) all love the blue foam, as does my DSE601 and e-cigars. Both of the latter use large sized carts which are close to, but still smaller than, the XL carts. I can't seem to find a filler mod that runs in these XLs.

With my ego setup now, I use it in a Heavens gifts ego lanyard. So it sits cart up while I'm using it. If I am going to set it down for any period of time, I flip it cart down in the lanyard so it won't leak. At night, I disconnect the battery. Since starting that routine, I haven't had a single leak.

I found that leaving it standing up or laying flat with the battery connected for more than a few minutes will get it to leak. Disconnected and laying flat, or connected and laying with the cart end inclined down, no leaks.

It is definitely a picky PV. But it's soooo much nicer than my 510, and noticably better than my 801 type gear and e-cigars, as far as vapor production. In terms of battery life, it beats them all.

One thing I do, rather than washing it, I just flipp the filler end to end. Assuming of course that I want to continue to use the same flavor. That seems to work pretty well. Only needs to be done every couple of days. And somehow, they seem to wick better after this has been done a couple times. Not sure, but it could just be the filler gets less compacted by doing this. Worth a shot.

Standard fill, packed down, with a blue foam plug appears to be working better. Haven't noticed any leaking yet, still doesn't vape completely dry but better than standard fill alone.

Going to try the Ego/Tornado Mega Cart ADM 2.0 mod next, once I find me a good paperclip. Once I get more juice (don't want to risk running out, APO mail is slow) I might try something more exotic. Thinking maybe something like the ZFM might work, but with a thicker plug so it holds better, with a thin center might do the trick. Main issue with the leaking appears to be how fat it is, so maybe making a plug designed to lower the surface area a bit will help (but still have plenty of room to feed the bridge).

Did standard cart today, and I got me a lot of burning..not cool.

You know, I'm having that a bit w/ some carts but not others. I can't tell for sure, but it seems like the carts w/ less filler tend to not work as well. Not sure. Most of my prefilled and blank carts have been a success. I got my blanks from Goodprophets and my menthol filled from TheVaporPro 5 for $2. I notice the vapor pro carts fit into the atty tighter also. *shrug* Compare notes? Where did you get yours?

I ordered a 'lot" of test equip from healthcabin. Pretty much all options. Today Im getting a LOT of burning, so Im questioning teh wick placement. If it keeps up, Im pulling the wick.

Edit- call me crazy, but this atty doesnt have a wick at all, so scratch that idea. The other 2 DO..wierd. SO, ill just try lining up like a 510 atty. It will leave HUGE gaps on either side of the bride, but we'll see if the physics will work to the advantage here.

Never pulled out a wick before. I am using different attys for different types of flavor(I have 5 of them), mostley they work fine. So maybe it is a wick issue w/ "some" of the attys. Which would be why we are not all experiencing the problems. I'mma check the resistance on all my attys and report back. Maybe inconsistent coils are a problem to. Gimme a few min.
