eGo XL Atty?

And the associated cart. Is it worth it? Does it work well? I'd hate to dump 2ml into it and have to top it off all the time.

I posted here awhile ago but I had some financial issues due to a very once in the lifetime oppurtunity for me to go and take some belly dance lessons in Egypt, and tour while I was there. I had to resort back to analogs for awhile due to that, and then my son's birthday, and then Christmas shortly after. I'm back now...with an eGo...and my 510 for outside use. Thanks to Christmas gifts of cash, I could upgrade.

So there's my complete history...that you didn't ask for. LOL And today is my first day back on on the vape full time. Be gentle....LOL

OK, so I've never used this atty...so others here will be more helpful with specifics. But I can say that I'm not a fan of carts. I would recommend that you either use the atty with a drip tip (not with a cart w/filler)...or use a 510 cartomizer.

I prefer cartomizers - because like you, I don't like the idea of having to constantly be dripping. I fill a cartomizer, I'm good to go for quite a while. My main PV now is an automatic Mega eGo...and I still feel cartomizers are the way to go, with it or with the 510. But yeah. Hope that helps a bit. I'm sure others here who have specific experience with the eGo XL atty will post soon.

Thanks for your input. I may try a cartomizer next....it's all about trying things to find your best fit. I kind of like dripping my flavour onto the tips I've ordered.

I use the XL Cylinder (Type B) atomizer quite a bit. Mostly I drip with it, though I have used carts as well. My experience is that a full cart will last me nearly all day ... assuming I don't hit it too heavy, or hit it non-stop. When you do that you'll run into the wicking problem common to all carts. That is, the capacity is there if you take it easy, LOL.

You could do a blue foam mod on the carts. I tried that with one and it worked pretty good. A little messy though, in my experience.

Couldn't get mine to wick well either. Wasted a lot of juice trying to figure these bad boys out. Even with all the advice people gave me. The only thing that worked half decently was sucking the cotton pickin life out of them in order to get the juice to wick up through the poly fill after the first few toots. More work than anything if you ask me.

I have used a type A since Aug. It is an 801 type atomiser and hence performs like an 801. The eGo mega cartos are a PITA and do not perform well from reports.

I have changed my batting 3 times in the cart. A simple wash and dry will serve you well. With regards to wicking, my opinion it is liquid related. I have used polyfill in all my carts since the beginning without major issues. Great link. I use vapables stuff almost exclusively, I'm not sure what their base is. I may have to expand my liquid horizons a bit.

Glad I was able to help. My eGo type A leaves the house with me as I know I won't need anything else when I run errands.

In my view the XL/type B takes too much juice, and you are never able to get it all out.

Type A takes a lot of juice, but if you don't vape heavy on it, it will wick and last a long time. I used it when I am fishing, it lasts me about 1/2 a day. However in front of the computer, it doesn’t wick fast enough so the extra volume is a bit of a waste as I am always topping it up, almost as often as a 510.

I would give a type A a try first, and see if high volume, slow wicking suits your style of vaping before you start dumping juice into the bottomless pit XL/type B

Results may vary with different juices and fillings. This is my experince using Dekang tobacco and the stock filling.
