Hey wood!

I would recommend leaving the stock filler in them, and filling them with about 40 drops of standard PG-based e-liquid but, when vaping, take more forceful draws than what you are accustomed to on a standard atty (more like a cigar pull). The additional force helps the liquid wick from deep in the cart onto the atomizer bridge and provides me an incredible amount of vapour and throat hit and it lasts for quite some time!

Hope that helps!

its working better but still not quite there , how are you filling yours

I'm not sure if I'm understanding the question correctly, but I drip the liquid straight from the bottle into the filler, a drop at a time, allowing some time between drops for the liquid to settle into the filler a bit each time (and not create an air pocket underneath). I don't do anything special, really.

Not sure if that will help but hope it will!

Hi

I cut the poly fill, lengthwise, about 1/4. Then I put the 3/4 into the cartridge.

I am able to take 50 or so puffs before refilling.

Wow! Not sure how depleted it is after 50 hits but you should easily get at least twice that with a refill. 40 drops (44 fresh cart = too wet) at an average of 5-6 hits per drop = 200+ hits on a single charge. My carts are accepting between30-35 drops during top off and as low as 25-30 when it gets too greasy and requires a wash.

so u just drop on the filer , iv been taking it right out , then putting 30 drops the sticking it back in , maybe thats the wrong way to fill it ?

Yup. Just take a brand new, blank cartridge, drip your 40 drops into it and push it into the opening of the atty. Then vape with forceful drags. You should be golden!

There is a learning curve to these attys. For someone who has experience with1 801s the transition is pretty smooth, for those who are accustomed to the 510, the learning curve can be steep. Regardless, I believe in the beginning folks draw on an e-cig like they would a cigarette. Vaping is much more satisfying as well as vapour production with nice slow easy drags. :)

Notwithstanding, the eGo mega attys do not render the eGo Vape perse (as the cone is not in play), but they do deliver an 801 vape marvellously well.

I don't understand the problems people are having.:?:

I have never used carts - only cartomizers for months and months.

Then last week I tried dripping - and liked it - only I only had 3 cheap 510 automatizes that I destroyed on my 5V. So, I ordered an ego atomizer and an ego drip tip from Good Prophets which came Saturday - and they sent me a free cart! :thumb:

That atomizer is huge! makes my ego look like a giant cigar - but dripping was easy and great - did so all weekend.

This morning right before I headed off to work I tore open the cart package - did nothing special - just removed the condo on the end - quickly squirted e-juice directly onto the filler that was there until it overflowed, then dabbed it with a paper towel to soaked up the overflow - stuck it on the atomizer and been vapping on it ever since - which includes chain vapping during my 40 min commute.

No problems - no hassles - a lot of vapor - but not as much as dripping - but I attribute that to the small hole in the mouthpiece of the cart. Do all carts have such small holes? It seems cartomizers holes are about twice as big.

Anyway then I saw this thread and saw that people were having problems with these. To me it has been a hassle free introduction to carts, and I plan on ordering more carts and a couple of more ego atomizers today. I just wish they weren't so expensive almost twice the price of 510's - but they do look great! -and I hope they last - I will not try them on my 5v though - 5V are atty killers, I don't mind so much it killing the cheapo cartomizers I use, but a $13 atomizer I can not afford to risk.
