It's not the wrapper that tends to peel off, it's the smaller, rectangular, silver-colored manufacturer's/distributor's label that wants to come off of some of the EH batteries (you can see pictures of the label on these batteries on MadVapes). On my 14500 batts, the heat shrink type wrapper is blue, on the 18650s and 18500s the wrapper is reddish-orange, similar to pictures of the AW IMR batts I have seen. Only the 14500s have had the problem with the label peeling, the others have not, so far anyway.
On a side note, all of the EH batteries make my main charger hum, very high pitched, whereas, there is no hum on the same charger with my regular lithium-ion batteries. I don't have experience with any other IMR batts, so I don't know if the humming is typical of this type. I have read some posts on the humming of various chargers and batteries, and this doesn't seem to be an issue of any great concern.
Other than the label, I have no issues with any of the EH batteries.
