It's not the wrapper that tends to peel off, it's the smaller, rectangular, silver-colored manufacturer's/distributor's label that wants to come off of some of the EH batteries (you can see pictures of the label on these batteries on MadVapes). On my 14500 batts, the heat shrink type wrapper is blue, on the 18650s and 18500s the wrapper is reddish-orange, similar to pictures of the AW IMR batts I have seen. Only the 14500s have had the problem with the label peeling, the others have not, so far anyway.

On a side note, all of the EH batteries make my main charger hum, very high pitched, whereas, there is no hum on the same charger with my regular lithium-ion batteries. I don't have experience with any other IMR batts, so I don't know if the humming is typical of this type. I have read some posts on the humming of various chargers and batteries, and this doesn't seem to be an issue of any great concern.

Other than the label, I have no issues with any of the EH batteries.

I have been searching the web over to find the difference between the RED/BLUE EH IMR's. I cannot find any. The website (here) shows no difference what-so-ever in specs from red / blue.

I am wanting to know for sure because I heard a rumor about the blue cells and set out to prove/disprove it. I have 8 of the red ones left and they seem to preform better but I'm not 100% sure.[/SIZE]

"EH" stands for "eHome" as I recall.

For me, they work fine. But then I don't use crazy low ohms...so obviously, in some people's opinion...I know nothing. But for what it's worth my husband and I run 1.7, 2, and 3ohm and have had no trouble with the EH batteries. We have 14500s, 16340s, 18350s and 18650s. We also have other manufactured batteries including eFest and AW. No serious difference noted (beyond mAh sizes) between them.

I've had way more issues with Trustfire batteries than I have the others mentioned.

None of my batteries cause my charger to "hum". (shrugs)

I bought a handful of the BLUE EH batteries (14500) from MadVapes and they were absolutely the WORST battery I have ever used. I know how a good battery should work (AW IMR) and these are no where close. I use very low ohm attys and you can tell a difference with a low Ohm faster than a regular ole atty. If you use these...and like them...By all means...knock yourself out. I personally feel they are not worth it if they were free and you only had to pay shipping.

I've got a couple of the same batts. I haven't really put them through the paces yet, I'm planning on using them in a Bull Box mod, in series, how are you using them?

Just single batts, tube mods. In all fairness, I do expect a lot. Maybe too much. I have been spoiled outright by the AW's. For the general user they may never notice a difference. If I still used cartos I may not either. But depending on how your rebuildable (if you use that) is setup you may notice the difference.

I've got some Efests but usually I only use AWs myself, or Panasonics, but for the price at Madvapes, I was like, what the hell, why not.
