Hey whats up guys,
I know the originals would obviously be the best quality, however I don't have that much dinero to drop and wanted to try an aqua out, figured I'd buy 1 of the clone combos out there. Just curious, anyone own either of these clone setups? Which do you guys think is better in quality?

I know people are back and forth with these 2 china brands. I've seen some separate reviews but none comparing the two.

Thanks guys

edit: also if any1 knows a decent vendor or ebay seller @ decent price much appreciated

Can't speak about the hcigar version of the origin/aqua combo. But I really like the ehpro combo.

For me, I would rate the ehpro aqua a 9/10 and the ehpro origin a 7.5/10. I never used the original aqua but can't imagine it is substantially better than the ehpro. i never used the authentic origin either so my issues may be the same as the otiginal. I like the ehpro origin and am happy mine came with a magnetic switch but I can't say it has the same rugged feeling as some other of my mods. I feels more delicate though this might just be my imagination. The switch is a little weird but I'll tell you, this and the nemesis are my only bottom button clones that don't give me a major problem with a stuck locking ring. I wish the seams between tubes wasn't so pronounced. You can definitely tell it has multiple tube extensions on in 18650 mode. This is the major reason why I use mine in 18350 mode with one of the 10.5 amp purple efest batteries. I consider these batteries a must with this combo since the aqua is pretty much made for subohm builds.

I know this wasn't one of your options, but I own the Fasttech SS Origin and the Fastech red o-ring version Aqua and the combination is great and can be had on the cheap. The Aqua itself is awesome. I have zero complaints with it and it comes with spare o-rings, both drip tips, and the hybrid pin. The Origin took a little fussing with to make it perfect, which mostly involved sanding down the delrin insulator on the switch so it would flush mount. I also ended up ordering switch magnets for it from Fat Daddy Vapes, but that's just icing the cake. For the price, I was very satisfied with the combination.

Thanks guys, can anyone attest to the build quality on the hcigar version?

Most of the HCigar clones I've seen or own have been pretty much dead on to the original versions. My Nemesis is a perfect 1:1 clone with very few minor differences such as lightly sharper edges for example on the button and top edge. Air holes are slightly larger in the clone than the original also. The same can be said for my Kayfun clone as well.

Please do that. I am interested to find out

First Impressions:
Just received both the origin and aqua in the mail today and I must say the machining is excellent and all the threads are buttery smooth. I even set it up in hybrid mode and the threads matched up nicely as well. The aqua came with a nice hcigar carrying case, some kanthal/silica, and the pin for hybrid mode . As far as the Origin, I was able to setup with zero fuss, no sanding, everything mounted flush. Both MNKE and sony batteries fit well in the device. As far as the extension tubes it came with 3, only 2 needed for 18650 mode so 2 tubes = 1 seem in the middle of the mod but I don't think it will bother me. Unfortunately, the Origin did not come with a magnetic switch, but I did place an order with fatdaddyvapes for the magnetic switch. Again, I don't have the original, but I can't imagine the quality being much better than this clone. The total price of the two off ebay was $72 with free shipping. I don't have my stuff with me to build the aqua at this very moment but I will post again when I do and will definitely note if I have issues with it.

I just got my Aqua clone from Fasttech, red o-rings, and can attest to the quality of this clone. $20 is ridiculously cheap and, if you can put up with the issues when ordering directly from China, it is one terrific deal. I have a 1.8 build on it right now, some minor seeping has occurred, which seems to be related to overfilling, but, in general, an atty which will have a place in my rotation. It's a little fussy, in a good way, but gives a smooth vape and I'm looking forward to learning all about it. Unfortunately, I don't know who makes this atty.

Yes, they can be prone to a little flooding when filling it.

A couple of tricks:

When filling the from the top, close the juice control, remove the cap, then fill just over the bell. Start the cap on a thread or so, then flip it upside down and finish screwing the cap on. This helps to minimize flooding the chamber.

If it still floods a bit after filling, flip it upside down and vape it a few times. That should clear it with a few pulls.

Hi VaPreis
Yup, I'm aware of all these little hints from watching varosvaper videos on YouTube. Check him out! I believe his videos are the most informative on YouTube. No bull...., no coughing, sneezing, drinking, dogs, or other ridiculous behaviors. And, as an extra added attraction, he even does closeups that are in focus. Excuse the attitude please, my caffeine level is a bit low. Time for another cuppa!

I picked up the EHPro version of the aqua. It is my first rta and I love it. The EHPro version that I picked up had a few issues of the bat. The first thing was the red o-rings had some material flaring around the seem location. The second is not one that could be fixed. The machining was off on the threading for the external sleeve, causing the outside to be crooked. The "bent" look aside this thing vapes pretty nice. (I will try to get some pics posted tomorrow)

Looks great omzilla! Thanks for sharing. Looks great together. Is the logo etching as dark in reality as it appears in the photo?

The logo on the aqua is pretty dark and for whatever reason the logo on the origin seems to be a little lighter, dunno if it's just the light playing tricks on me though because I'm partially colorblind  ha

Set it up .45 ohm dual coil with cotton wick, wasn't too hard to set up kinda wish it had the holes in the post to clamp down the coils, would make life easier, pretty rockin' vape tho. I had one issue where it was leaking near the top o-ring but I think it was slightly out of place because I resat it and it doesn't seem to be leaking anymore, hopefully it doesn't become a frequent issue. Might try bumpin up the ohms next time seein how it vapes on the opus d.

My Aqua clone(red-rings) from Fasttech is fast becoming #1. Slightly smaller and lighter than the Kayfun with a warmer vape. The juice and air control allow that fiddling we all love.
Yup, one more turn on that juice control and a little more air..........there.......yup, that's it, that's just the way I like it.

Now, if this was Busardo doing the review(it's not even on his too-do list), he would say, Yeah, you can fill from the top, or turn over, and fill from the bottom. And you can change your build without removing the juice but, but, if it only had a little screw or something you could fill directly with a syringe. Now, that would be perfect, but then again, that's only my opinion........and yeah, this is a criticism of Phil.
