I'm using 30ga. pure nickel and a-1 Kanthal .5x1mm ribbon. Both came from Kidney Puncher. I later got 2mm ekowool form the same.
Yeah Manolis is a great guy! Very helpful and quick to respond.
Which Tsaf do you have? The standard Tsaf or his Tsaf+ which has an embedded mini usb battery charger?
I bought the tsaf thinking i could use one of my mini usb cords to charge it. Not the case. I have to remove the battety to charge. No big deal you can make many joins on a full batt.
Why exactly can't you charge your tsaf? It's not a standard mini usb? He emailed me the info this morning. Was not sure which to get.

Manolis says you can see with a led when the battery.is charging and when the battery is fully charged. Does the charger work as described?
I bought one of his first ones. He might have added the charging port to his current models.Don't know just ask him. He's easy and fast to reply.
I actually still need to get a usb cord to charge it, I haven't even charged it yet! I've seen the LED light (when you're using the device) and if Manolis says that's how it works you can take that to the bank.

Does anyone know how long it can takes a new user to be activated on vaporwall? I ordered the tsaf today right before River's post but am always looking to find something better if it's out there.

I've had both but I gave the Tsaf to a friend. The Tsaf is an excellent device and does what it is supposed to do. The WireWelder has more features though, like a built in ohm meter
, it's more tuneable in terms of voltage output too. I just took a quick look at Vaporwall and it looks like v2 will have a 510 connection for measuring your attys final resistance among other additions/improvements.I don't know if Ariel is still involved in the process but I can safely say that if Seth is his friend, Seth is a good guy.
As for activation time, I can't remember but I wouldn't think it would take long at all, like within the day.

No matter which one you go with, welding blows twisting out of the water, both in terms of the process as well as usage.
