One more day, one more day, just one tiny little day more... then I too, should be singing the "oh WOW!" song!

Yeah, pokes!!!! So glad to hear it!

Really. I posted after my first 1/2 hour. I want to give it a day's use before I really review it, but it performs great so far. Feels like a cheap tank so I was worried, but it is doing great.

Had to remove the metal drip tip (I just don't like them), and she's naked for now, but I'm impressed so far.

Lol, sucks being the 10%

LOL, it sure does. I might end up in that category myself. I feel the same way about my Lemo. It was my first rebuildable and everyone raves. My success rate with it is about 65%. I'm not giving up on it though. I think it's a good tank, but I just need to dial it in.

I was entirely disappointed in the Kanger Protanks until I started rebuilding or at minimum wicking with cotton. It's a big pain tho....and not something I want to do consistently.

By the way, am I wrong to suggest this tank to relatively new vapers to look at before I've used it myself? I just see so many posts for new members asking for tank and mod advice......and usually it's the istick 30W or 50W (or something more expensive) + one of the sub ohm tanks. I was minutes away from going that route till this thread popped up. Anyway, I feel like I'm suggesting this as another option for them to check out. Is that wrong of me, since I haven't used it yet?

I feel like I would have invested probably another $100 just to try the fad.....when trying this tank will cost me $10.

Should add that I figure the more competition the Aspire Atlantis and Kanger Subtanks get from Eleaf and any others...the better.

It's kinda crazy that immediately the mfgs jumped to the subohm game....it's like we completely missed the middle of the road in terms of wattage. I am hoping that this one fills that void a bit for folks who liked the Nautilus but weren't completely satisfied by it.

I would like to see widespread feedback on this tank so we have a broad range of vapers trying it out. At the very least, if it's popular enough ...Eleaf will keep it around, possibly improve on it and we'll have another choice for the istick 20.

In reality, I loved the istick 20, but it needed more than just one tank that was a good matchup. I could not use the single or dual coil Protanks on it.....because it immediately toasted coils. The wicking and airflow couldn't keep up.

I never bought the Nautilus cause I then stepped into rebuilding the Lemo...but got frustrated there too. So, 5 mos into this and still trying to get a plug n play device that will work. I am convinced that I am about as average of a new vaper as you get. Trying to do this on a budget, and wisely try out some gear that will just replace my smoking habit. Not sure everyone like me needs to immediately buy a $70 box mod and sub ohm tank to fill the gap.

Bored2Tears, I use both sizes of the Nautiluses on my ProVaris, MVP's, Vapor Shark, and iStick 20, and enjoy them greatly. Meanwhile, I've got quite a few of the ProTank 2's and Davides that I've learned to rebuild with 30 Kanthal and cellu cotton. Much better, flavorful vape; but I wanted NOT to have to rebuild if in a hurry.

Searched around and found that Aspire makes shorter "replaceable" bottom vertical coils (BVC) for NON Nautilus tanks bought at evape.us. Boxes are marked Nautilus OR just "BVC Clearomizer Replaceable Coil." All I had to do was get an adapter ring (it makes the well deeper to accept a taller made coil) gotten at Vapor Kings. Wallah! Turned my PT2's and Davides into mini Nauti's. If you like more air flow, an air flow adapter can be bought and used with the ring then the top of your PT goes on and you're ready to vape! :)

OK. I just calculated ALL vape expenses since I started in Sep. I have spent almost exactly what I would have if I continued smoking. In reality though, my wife smoked about half a pack a day and is now vaping too. I order all the vape gear and liquid....so I'm probably about $300 ahead of the game in 4 mos time. Not bad.

SO....now I can justify new tanks and new mod after completing this self analysis. And I got all the emotional support I need here to justify too. THANKS! :toast:

That's awesome!

Okay, I am really glad that this thread is very alive. Seem that EVERYONE is praising this tank that makes me hard to give up on this one. Not one have described such an issue I have. I do like this tank very much for the simplicity, price, vapor and size BUT the flavor. I am on a third coil now and I still must say the taste is odd, not sure what it is as it can not be a dry hit or a burnt taste. Tried three different juices from two vendors, all high in VG and for this one particular juice which is my favorite since last summer. The taste is odd on this GS-Air unlike the one I know from Kanger single and dual coil, Aspire BVC and now Kanger Subtank mini. Yeah the flavor is a bit different on all those coils but this one it is kinda way off the chart. Damn it, I like this tank! I even smell that it should be for this juice but the flavor, no.....
I also love this tank because you can easily have the option for lung or mouth inhale and that is a big plus for this one with the airflow set to do both at the same setting.
I have been vaping on all settings (on iStick and even once on Spinner II) from 7 to 15 watts but most often do around 10 watts. Seem that the first pull taste just fine and unless I let it sit for a few minutes, the odd taste comes on at the second or third pull no matter what wattage I use.
Could it be that all the three coils are duds? A bad batch of coils? Should I go ahead and try use the Egrip coils in this tank just to confirm this matter of taste?
Sorry for the rant, but I do not want to give up this neat little tank.

It sounds to me that it isn't wicking fast enough to give you consistent flavor. Also, it does taste completely different from a Kanger dual coil or single coil wick. It is the first tank besides a carto tank that I love my favorite flavor (Ahlusion Pineapple Cream, Sweetened) in. I refuse to vape it in anything that it doesn't taste great to me.

You could try a higher PG juice or thin your juice a bit to see if that solves it. I only have a few flavors that I like in the Nautilus and a few others I like in the AeroTank. I've found that a lot more of my flavors taste great in this tank. But I use high PG juice. You should try the Egrip coils and see if they work for you. I've read that they work good with high VG. Not sure about chain vaping it though. I didn't pay much attention since I never have high VG. I think the Kanger Subtank would probably work good for you. You don't have to sub ohm with it. They make a 1.2 ohm coil. It doesn't make enough vapor with my high PG juice and it has the cotton coils that should give you the flavor that you're looking for. Would be great if you could find a vape shop to try it out first.

Is anyone else using high VG in this tank?

So I have gone through 5 fills of C&C reserve on the original stocked coil. So far the coil is wicking really well (maybe too well). I ordered 2 more last night from Sweet Vapes after checking to see if evape.us had them back in stock yet... They were out last night, but today they are back in stock
I am only comparing this to the Nautilus full and mini, but each has pro and con, but they are neck in neck to me.
The GS Air, does great with higher VG. I am vaping it on my IStick at 10.2 watts. The downfall for me is that it I have to fill it more often than my mini Naut. I think it is smaller and uses more liquid. I've also had a couple times when I'm in a hurry and don't get it back together just right and then it reads no atomizer.
The Nauts seem to use a little less juice and they are definitely easier to get back together.
The final edge should go to the GS Air because the tank is half the cost, but I already have 3 Naut minis, 2 full size Nauts and really didn't need to add another tank to the collection so I obviously didn't save any money. And then I want to add the fact that the GS Air is using cotton and leaves me feeling a little better.
My two cents:2c:

Not all that long ago, I might have suggested an iTazte V3 and a mini Naughty, or a karto tank on top. I'm still not sure I'd recommend an iStick to a brand new vaper. The first tank that has probs screwing in, or a "faulty" USB port/plug? Dunno. The iTaztes were/are pretty foolproof.

As far as this tank goes? I'll talk to you in a day or so...... because?

It's HE----ERE! (day early, how bout dat!)

Got mine today in true evape fashion of 2 day shipping to the tee.

Thought I'd play a little first and see how the base works on the GS16S tank that uses completely different coil heads but the tanks are same inside except for volume.

Filled it and took a couple primer puffs at low voltage/wattage on my iStick 20W then went straight up to 4.5V/11W and it's a nice airy draw, good vapor on my 80/20 PG/VG juice.

Then I threw it on my iStick Mini just to see how it worked on it, I bumped the volts up to 4.8 for a little warmer vape but it worked great.

Here's a pic of it on my Mini with the GS16S tank,

I'll hold off on my final analysis until I use it for a couple days but it's not a bad tank for first impression.

So, what are the chances that eleaf will sell just the base for the GS air? I've been looking at gs16s for weeks but wanted AFC and didn't want different coils. They look so good on the mini, but I need another type of coil like I need 10 more pounds on my thighs. Not!

There is very little written about this tank here, so I thought I'd see if we can collect up some experiences.

I'm a mod rookie with an iStick, and when I ordered it I also went with a GS Air tank. The price was right.

I got off to a bad start. I ran the rig too hot initially. Not the fault of the tank - I just didn't know what I was doing. :)

I also didn't like the *new tank* taste. But, after a reset and a soak, the tank is performing - amazingly.

Granted, my only comparison so far is CE4s and EVODs. But, I am amazed at the performance of this tank at that price.
Vapor is huge, and flavor is great. Couldn't be more pleased now.

Some of the high end tanks are very expensive. This is a very affordable tank.

If you have any experience with it, chime in. If not, and you're on a budget, give it a look. :vapor:
