I think you may be spending a little too much time around here.Mine is that I went to the grocery store earlier and they had stuffed tie-dyed monkeys in the flower section by the door and it made me think of all of you.![]()
I didn't have my phone or I'd have snapped a pic.
Hmmm... Remember the original iStick (20W), fresh off the charger outputs an effective minimum of 4.1V, so that's 12W with the 1.4Ω head. But that shouldn't be your problem. The stick heads are rated to 20W. Rebuilds are probably good to 30W.
Besides looking for bubbles to rise, informing of juice being fed to the wick, take a look at your wick itself. As opposed to cotton, rayon tends to shrink when it gets wet. I suspect you need a bit more rayon. You're looking for round shoulders at the end of each wick. The rayon should be just loose enough that you don't molest the coil badly. Listen/feel for the squeaking. I have never burnt a rayon wick. I have had really nasty hits resulting from too little wicking. The nasty flavor is any accumulation on the coil burning.
Where do you have the air flow set?
Why the stock had would be doing this is beyond me. Maybe others can help here.
Do the GS Airs tend to "vapor lock" if filled too full, preventing the passing of air to the tank and e-liquid to the wick?
When you finaly drink the rebuilding kool-aid i think we're all going to get educated on proper rebuilding!I don't know nuffink. Haven't crossed over to the Dark Cheechorian Empire yet, but I thank you for the learning opportunity. Chin up.
PS- Don't take any wooden nickels.
PPS- Don't take Cheech's "hot legs" remark personally, unless...
We all have our first world problems to bear. Mine for example is this one GSA tank that "wheezes" every time I hit it. It is so irritating.![]()
Not possible, dangerously close to communistic talk!I think you may be spending a little too much time around here.![]()
To the tune of "Don't get around much anymore"
My resistance was low...
legs were hot
and what's more...
saturated my line-er.
Don't get to
vape much anymore.
Pulled the bottom right out
Like he told me before.
Couldn't find any burn marks.
Don't get to
vape much anymore.
Thanks alden. I thought I got as much in there as I could. It was probably wicking and I probably just need more experience. I have the airflow all the way open. I don't know why the stock coil did it either. It was fine on my MVP when I got home. And the iStick was fine with a rebuild and one of the regular airs.![]()
Ayuuuuh, so long as people pay attention to you and your merry band of rayonettes, and ignore anything I may say. When you finaly drink the rebuilding kool-aid i think we're all going to get educated on proper rebuilding!![]()
Use mine wide open now with rebuilds, could recreate flooding by an over exaggerated vape, hard draw you might say...What PG/VG ratio e-liquid are you using?
Questions for the group: Does the airflow setting greatly effect juice feed like other gravity fed atomizers? Does it effect stock and rebuilt heads differently?
Stephen King uses that term in his novels.Ayuuuuh, so long as people pay attention to you and your merry band of rayonettes, and ignore anything I may say.

I used to read a lot of his novels. Last one I read was 11/22/63. It was pretty good.Mr. King is probably a neighbor and friend of Mssr. Fumador. They're both Maine-iacs.
Neighbor, yes...he lives up the pike in Bangawww or thereabouts. Never had the pleasure of meeting him, but the library second hand book shop where I volunteer has a nice little collection of his books. In about a week when the tourist infestation is going strong, they will all disappear, swallowed up by Lincoln Navigators with Florida plates, or loooooooooooong Cady-Lacs from Texas with steer horns on the hood.Mr. King is probably a neighbor and friend of Mssr. considering those are probably Busby Berkley girls, they would be about in my speed!Ayuuuuh, so long as people pay attention to you and your merry band of rayonettes, and ignore anything I may say.
King? From away? Thought he was a Maine native?Neighbor, yes...he lives up the pike in Bangawww or thereabouts. Folks from away like Mr. King, and they drive some strange cahhhz.
Read it again, slowly, and check for your wallet. Those show girls...King? From away? Thought he was a Maine native?
