I went to the site and it said if you are under 18, from Alaska, Hawaii, or Alabama, do not enter. I ordered anyway. First time I've seen that. They're in Utah so it's not a tax thing. Discrimination.....:)

Wonder if M and MS are discontinued? Could not find them at eleafworld nor eleafus.
Oh yes, I have been lurking this thread from time to time but chiming in now.
Neither site has ever listed those tanks.

Just when I thought I found my sweet spot with my favorite mod and my favorite tank this temperature control issues comes up. Sure the eVic-VT reminds me of a muscle car from the 70's but do I need one?

Just so I understand, a temperature control device with the nickel or titanium coil will use less battery power, is safer to use, no more gunky coils, no more brown e-juice, a cleaner taste and extended coil life? Is this the direction the industry is going because of regulations?

Less battery power, or safer...too new to really tell, lots of unscientific claims both ways. Most have enough mah rating that battery life isn't much of an issue, or use replaceable 18650. As safe as any regulated mod, electronics can still flake out.

The coils do not gunk up as much (you can fire a completly dry wick and not burn it) but the wicks will darken with repeated use, the flavorings in the juice being overheated likely...good or bad??????
The taste is similar to a well adjusted VW mod, except if your tank runs dry or the wicking can't keep up to your chain vaping. A dry coil just won't produce vapor, it won't burn or give you a nasty dry hit.

Coil life is improved as it doesn't gunk as easily (NETS are still a problem) but re-wicking is a little tougher as the coils are not as sturdy, much easier to deform while changing the wick, but not as gunked up so easier to remove the old wick. That said I find the Ni200 wire easier to build a coil with, it's a trade off.

Seems to be driven by the "Ohhh Shiny" crowd more than any pending regulation. Do you need one, no....are they a great innovation and fun to play with...YES....:vapor:

Thanks for the reply. I thought it might be one of those "so cool, must have" type things. Now that new Innokin Disrupter Innocell is very shiney!

Still wating for user reviews of the Heatvape Defender 50 watt, which looks like an istick 50 with a replaceable battery. That should help keep my wallet temp. controlled.

Also, tooo, as well...since I wrapped elastic hairbands around all my GS Airs and Ms and even the M shorty, I haven't broken any glass. For fashion, I need to get hairbands other than in basic black. Maybe Nanny and IMRs can suggest a tie dye hairband source?

Tried using a strip of a Melitta #2 cup-style coffee filter as the surround. Didn't work out for me. Got dry hits even at low watts, even with 50/50 liquid. Could be the type of paper used.

Found a Johnson & Johnson, 3 inch "Steri-Pad". Found that it has 2 layers - an outer woven layer and an inner, softer layer not unlike the slightly stiff outer layers of a Japanese cotton pad. Just tried using a 1.75 inch strip of the inner layer material as the surround and got much better results, wicking-wise. Too early to comment on flooding/leaking, but so far so good.

I'm still getting better flavor out of my rebuilt Mini Protank 2s and I'm beginning to think that the warmth of the GS-MS's vapor might have something to do with that. Maybe the coolness of the MPT2's vapor allows me to better taste the flavors? Any opinions from the vets?

A couple of rebuilding notes:
- A 1.75 inch strip of surround material is just about right to go around 2x.
- I found it easier to apply the surround while having the coil head mounted on an Evod base and an ego battery. Once I wrap the first layer and lock the beginning end of the strip under the material to begin the 2nd wrap, I spin the battery to finish the 2nd wrap.

Judged too soon on this effort. After running about a half tank through the coil the flavor seems to have stepped up. It's vaping quite well now, especially when the tank has been sitting for awhile and has cooled to room temperature.
