Yeah, I've played with them some, but on my buddy's Egrip OLED CL. Helped him figure out the CL-R coils so he can start rebuilding. The juice channels just screw down and adjust really, really well and can accomodate anything from 100% PG to 100% VG with no wicking issues. The design of the coil doesn't lend itself well to vertical builds since the wicking material is designed to go through the coil horizontally and then slightly protruding through the juice channels. What intrigued me about the design of the CLR coils is you can adjust down the top cap to cover part of the wick to control juice flow, I thought that might help with my 70pg/30pg juices. Have you played around with that? What I wasn't too keen on is that the leads are apparently just pressure fit and not screwed in, ever have any problems with that? I'm wondering how long the insulator will hold up with that design.
The rebuilds are actually really easy. Everything comes apart easily. Even using your own kanthal, the coils rebuild easily. You just have to bend and snip the kanthal after you've fit it properly. Insofar as durability, I'd say these will last a good while... they didn't put up a fight while coming apart or during reassembly. They should last at least as long as any coil not designed to be taken apart (like the GS Air coils). Regardless, they come in a pack of 5, available in 0.5 ohm or 1.0 ohm varieties. Only the actual coil and wick differ. Provide your own kanthal and wicking, and one or two packs could last ages, all the while giving you the ability to build more MTL friendly, higher resistance coils like 1.2 ohm or 1.5 ohm (gee, those sound familiar). Not a bad option. More tanks than just the Ego One series use these coils, too... the Egrip OLED CL, Totally Wicked Tempest, and several tanks made by Wismec employ the Ego One coils. Lots of options.
