I posted some pics earlier in the thread and made a video showing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5mnO_vKE90&feature=youtu.be
If I can do it, anyone can!

Awesome Cheechako. Thanks for posting that. Essentially same procedure as rebuilding Protanks, but adding in the outer liner material. Man, you did that fast. Looks like you've been rebuilding them for years rather than months. I've rebuilt probably 20 or so Protank coils. I got frustrated with the time it took me, but I found that I liked the results with organic cotton. Maybe I'll give it a go on the next rainy day.

~ Hey LostVaperMonster: Had to check it out! It looks like the same thing but they are either selling clones or re-naming the product!?? Still I've seen a little better price at other sites.

But I did see this pretty good deal on the e-Grip or their version of the e-Grip; The ONE e-cig Kit and e-liquid Reg: $64.99 Down now to: $41.59. I kinda like their special color combo available! They have some kind of weird discount count down or up depending how you look at it? If you wait a while the price goes up while you are on the page!?? Has anyone seen this before??? OK, what's up with that?

Just got an email from Totally Wicked and found this at their site:

CS Air Tank| E-cig 510 Fitting Atomizer Tank iStick E-Cigarette

It's called a "CS Air tank" but it looks amazingly similar to our favorite new little tank by Eleaf. Specs look to be about the same too, but it is priced a bit higher there.

~ Hey Kyi: I noticed that too with the GS Air Coils working with the e-Grip! That was a go with me! I snagged 3 e-Grips through the COOP a while back I really only wanted 2 but the price was so good I just had to have another one. Plus a number of the coils to last a good while between both devices! Once again spending much more then need be! And I can't justify it! Ha Ha Oh Boy!

~ So what do you think of the Lemo Drop? I've been eyeing it haven't made my mind yet!?? And Yes, it Never Ends!

Skullman {:{}

Ugh... I picked up one of these GS Air tanks as well as a pack of coils after skimming through this thread. At the beginning of this year, I bought a second Joyetech Egrip, telling myself this is my LAST purchase for a while since I have way too much stuff and spent way too much money. Since then, I've purchased an iStick 30 watt, Joyetech Ego One, two large orders of juice, more coils, a Lemo Drop, a Kanger Subtank Nano, and now this GS tank and coils. I justify it with the fact the GS coils will also work in my Egrip. AHHH.... it'll never end. Vaping has been supremely more expensive than smoking for me.

Hi Skully,

Sounds like you've been on the Totally Wicked site. They do a thing called a "Yo-Yo" - the prices do indeed go up - but they can also go down a lot too, which is nice. I've had some good deals on stuff that way. But you DO have to be really patient and watch it like a hawk - in my experience a good deal will turn up this way.

I've always had good service from TW when I use them (which is only from time to time these days). What do you think of the e-grip, by the way?

So I went looking again when I came across the DCT Pro Coil, Bottom Coil Tank Cartomizer. These have very little filler just around the coil and two large round openings down around the coils. These things are amazing! I've had these Coils last me a month or more depending on the eLiquid and PG/VG Ratio.

Hey SM...happen to have a link handy?

Thanx!

~ Thanks for the Welcome Katya! OK got ya! I did not know the 20watt had 510 issues? Is it just with the 20watt? I've got a 50watt and a Mini that I use daily. I hate to admit it but have dropped both a number of times!?? Not used to these small light mods! I remember using a device like that on the Vamo 3's they had 510 threading problems. Eventually just got rid of the 3's.

Well, if you had an early Vamo, you should be familiar with iStick 20 problems--soft 510 connection and Vmean instead of RMS. Those problems have been fixed, subsequently, in later Vamos and iSticks. I don't have a mini, but the iStick 30 is very nice and the voltage output is accurate.

~ As far as function how do you like these Air Controllers? Other then saving your threads Do they Function Well?

I don't use them for air control--just to protect the threads. I just leave the adapter on when screwing and unscrewing my toppers.

~ The Bending Adapter looks Pretty Cool but I just don't see a need for it for me! I would like one of those Leather Cases with Lanyard for the 50watt why one is not available I don't understand!

~ I would like to get a 30watt they do have the case for it. I do have a Pink 50watt full kit brand new in box I wouldn't mind swapping out. Got it for a girlfriend of mine down in Cali but she's just not ready to give up the sticks!??

I have a leather case with a lanyard that fits both the 20 and the 30. I'm pretty sure they will offer a case for the 50 at some point.

Tried to keep up on that thread, you are right, it is a lo-o-ong thread!

The main thing I learned from the thread is the importance of building a properly tensioned coil--one that doesn't need any torching or pinching. But you really need a correct coil winder to achieve a proper tension. :)

I don't think rebuilding is for me. I'm not so mechanically inclined.
I do plan on stocking up, though, especially if I catch a sale.

Hi Lost. Rebuilding is not for everyone. It does take some skill and proper equipment to do it right. I was never interested in rebuilding stock coils--I thought it was a waste of time and effort. But when I finally managed to rebuild and rewick my Aerotank correctly (with a single coil and KGD cotton), I was taken aback by the difference in vape quality. Day and night, really. My rebuilt Emow vapes as well as any RBA.

So, I suggest you watch some videos, at your own pace, and don't just reject the idea of rebuilding altogether. You never know. :)

Bored, I gave up on rebuilding ProTanks, too much trouble. Those coil heads are so small. But the dual coils shells are easier to deal with and the results are better. More airflow helps also.

It's not rocket surgery lady. I think you might just be selling yourself short. As my dad always told me "you can do anything you want to do" and that was before the days of internet and youtube. Not to mention all the great people around here willing to help out. So take a deep breath an pull a coilhead apart, just look at it an see what you think then. :)

~ Hey Katdarling: I've seen a number of your posts on Cartos. One really caught my attention when you posted how many you were stocking up on. I'm a Carto user and have tried just about everything out there. I had real good results with the some Innoken & Boge but then I was turned on to the Original IKenvape 801 LR Fusion Punch. Man these were the Bomb but had to us an adapter which looked funky but for the performance was worth it! I never had a Carto like em but the Originals were hard to come by to the point they were getting $4 bucks a piece for em.

Then Ikenvape brought their 510 Mega Fusion Punch LR on to the scene. Way better price 'didn't have to use an adapter' and availability was good at least for a while, but quality was not quite as good as the 801 Fusion Punch then they became scarce.

I have 4 Vamo V5's with the Old School Stainless DCT Tanks set up with these for Daily Vaping. I will take my Menthol 'It's Cold Outside from miOmi" and put the tank on my iTaste MVP or iStick 50 watt for my long days and miles in the car. Lately I've put it on my iStick Mini for in the stores and such. I know this is Clearo thread and all but thought i should share this with you. You might want to check em out.
