Does a the cap come off or the whole little shell?

edit: I still didn't find your video. Where do you hook the come-a-long?

I can't post the link where I am...a google search for "GS Air Coil Rebuild" will actually bring it up.
the cap is like a shell over the coil.

I hook the come-along with a tiny hook fashioned by Dwarves...

Bikerzzz, here ya go:

Cheech, might be an idea to blog your rebuild and include the video. That way it'll be handy for those who want to refer to it, yeah?

Yes you do!
Come to the Dark Side...
What do you have to lose by getting the liner material, it's free and it will be staring you in the face saying, "Put me in one of your rebuilt coils!"

I don't!!! Welp, maybe. NO! I'm feeling a bit schizoid right about now. :D

Tell ya what. Let everyone who wants some get some, and if you happen to have an extra piece after all is said and done, then perhaps I will take you up on it. Thank you. :)

I would need a jewelers eye glass to work on those babies......

I'd need the jeweler himself, hon.

And this is why I don't rebuild. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much frustration for me.

Sloth...is one of my (more) favorite Deadly Sins.

I let Jiffy Lube change my car's oil...I use an electric dishwasher to clean my plates...I never considered "rolling my own" cigarettes...I don't rebuild coils...and--since I can get delicious joose for $4/30ml.--I don't even look at DYI recipes when they're posted.

6 PACK SPECIALS - $24

The Fushion line has been the best for me. They they came out with the 510 Flanged with works with the Locking tanks but I didn't feel they worked as well as the 801's. But all these plus the Boge's are sitting in my back stock cause I'm enjoying the Pro Coils so much!

Skully...do you mean these ones:

I just put a new coil in a Vivi Nova and it is already flooded. I feel like tossin these things. Cant get them to stop floodin. Need more GSAs

I, too, recently became disenchanted with my Vivi Nova's.

But I had about 30-40 coils bought on MFS's frequent "50%-Off-Coils-Sales".

So I decided to try a couple Anyvape Peakomizers when I found them on sale for $15.99.

They take the Aspire (NONnautilus) BDC's/BVC's with no gurgling/flooding or leaking. ("Bonuses" are 3.5ml. capacity, AFC and top-filling!)

I think anyone considering rebuilding these coils has to be bored out of their mind or nuts...perhaps both....for $8.25 for a pack of ones-----

If you like, I will send the liner material along to you, enough to rebuild an army of coils.
By gripping the cover at the top, you won't damage it. Screwing the bottom into an old T3 head
or some such will give you the proper leverage and it will come right off.
I will admit the first coil I tried to take apart really took a beating!
I didn't understand how they were assembled...Once I had the complete picture
I understood that a solid, stable base is needed to screw the coil into in order to
get the proper leverage to pop the top off.
In fact in the video I did not screw the coil into the T3 base enough and you can see it's not as stable as it should be,
Hence the trouble getting the top off, and I did ding the chiminy, to no ill effect on performance.

Thanks, Now I see how it comes off. I've built bottom coils before in Kanger tanks. But this is a little different. Have you tried different resistances?
Thanks Kat and Lynn for lookin that post up.:) And thanks Gerrymi, I will try those coils on mine.

I do it on one even a touch more tedious than these (dual coil X.l heads), mostly for control (unlimited ohms range and addition of rayon) and the accomplishment of doing it. But most of you already know I'm weird :)

P.S. Kat no need for you to chime in on the last part of that statement. :p

~ Hey gerrymi: Those are Fairly New from IkenVape I have not tried them yet. But I do intend too. Same principle as the Pro Coil! With what they have showed us in the past I would have to think they would be of High Quality! Will soon find out! Price point about the same.

Nope, no worries. I will not say a WORD about how weird you are. Besides, who would believe lil ole weirdo ME.

Skullman, I'm a huge IKV fan as well. Those are procoils, and they were definitely IKV quality. Unfortunately those are out of stock at the moment. :(

I have only played with minute differences in coil circumference, Low as 1.2 and as high as 1.7.
I'm hoping you will have great tips when you start yours!
