I have done a little Paracord work, maybe I should make some Lanyards...

This is a Blaze Bar I made, all you do is take the carabiner off and pull to get a 15' piece of 550 Paracord.

I also make some Monkey Fist kitteh toys and donate them to the local SPCA chapter to make a few dollars with.

Oh... I'd like to see what you could pull off for an istick 30W. Maybe I'll get out some of my 550 cord and play around. And your M sure is taking it's sweet time getting to you... lol.

I'm just wondering how well these little coils will perform without being fastened tightly with screws. There are enough problems with some RBAs that are not particularly suited to TC. Nickel requires a tight connection for a TC mod to detect the changes in resistance as the coil heats up. That's what the mod bases it's heat evaluation on. Their recommendation of 30 to 40w doesn't mean anything either. It's all about the temp setting not the watts or joules. A higher power setting will just get you to temp quicker unless you're wanting to vape at 500+ degrees. I find that 16 to 25w is plenty to get me to 420 and even 475 (for some juices, I like a warmer vape).
But I do think everybody's gonna be doin TC soon.

You make really good points. But it seems that Aspire and Joyetech have both figured out how to make it work. I have heard nothing bit good things about their TC heads. Kanger, OTH, needs to terminate the leads more reliably...

TD, I've always wanted to learn to make monkey fists! Are they hard to do? Can you tell me how? It's a shame you're across the border cause if you weren't I'd pay you for a class!
I've made the survival bracelets...
Hey Lynn the monkeys fist is not hard to tie, it is really quick to wrap up. Mine are small so I only use 3 loops but you can use as many loops as you like, it just takes longer to tighten when you use more.

Basically you take your cord, and make three side by side loops around three fingers. Make another three loops around those loops horizontally. Then you make three loops going around the horizontal ones inside the first ones. It sounds confusing but you can wrap it in 5 minutes.

Since mine are at the end of a cord I put the starting end in the center and proceed to tighten up the loops one at a time starting from the first loop, tightening the second, then the third and so on till you are pulling on the the trailing cord as you tighten the last loop. This is 9 loops you have to work tight and try to keep straight in the process. Each of those cat toys takes me a good 30-45 minutes to make.

They make jigs for monkey fists that make life a whole lot easier, these can be bought or made in a wood shop as they are quite simple.

This site here shows it better than I can explain and also has instructions on how to make the jig.

Once you have tied your first one, you can do them in your sleep.
Be sure to post a picture when you make one!

I made this along with several others with a nylon rope I used to tie off barges with back in the day when I worked a tug boat. :)

Yes after a little excursion to Unionville...

I have not tried a case or a pouch from 550 or 325 yet. I see them over on Stormdrane's blog and get lost in the other amazing pieces he creates.

I you like excellent Paracord work, his blog is worth the look.

I'll have to see what I can do with a case when I grab some time.

Wow that is great!
I have not seen any Macramé in years.
Not much to do on the river unless you're loading/unloading or goin through a lock. Then you had to take one barge at a time through and most of the time we were pushin at least 6 barges. Plenty of time for fishing and macramé otherwise. :) I couldn't tell you how to tie the first knot now except for boat rigging. :)

But I do think everybody's gonna be doin TC soon.

I consider myself an "Analog-Convert Vapist". For me...a GSA on a 30W-iStick gives me the perfect "cigarette experience".

I have no interest in sub-ohm coils/50+Watt Mods. I see them aimed for the "Hobby Vapist"...(my cloud is bigger than your cloud!!!).

Now we're at the dawning of the (somewhat expensive and seemingly complicated) TC-coils and TC-Mods.

Does TC have any advantages to offer us MTL Tootle Puffers???

'Afternoon Tootle Puffing Airheads!! My Friday. :toast:
I started up the mini 20 this morning and Tootled on it all day at work at 4.1 volts (went dead on the way home). I like it. Got a good 8 hours off of it (obviously not chaining, but I'm happy with it). :) It serves my purpose to tuck it away in my pocket.

I really like lanyards too.

Good job on the kitty toys T! :)
Bike, too bad the ecigs weren't in style back then. You could've gotten a good bit of recoiling done on the boat.
Nanny, how do like those 2 monkey fists on the right? A little tie dye goin' on, for the kitty.
I have a whole set of luer lock needles coming in Saturday (14, 16, 18, & 20 gauge so I can take my pick).
I have everything else I need to recoil these except I was really liking Cheech's pretty green wire snips. I searched a lot of places and couldn't find them, so my good friend is sending a clone of those to me. Thanks again Cheech!! :)
Gotta go change my avatar. I'm overdue.

Thanks Callipleura and TD for the links!! I have some 325 around here somewhere so I think I'll look for it and try some this weekend! Monkey fists are also used on skydiving pilot chutes. The company I used to work for paid big money for them. I know my cat will love playing with them and I could make some for the local animal shelter as well!

Yes it does. No chance of a formaldehyde hit and set the temperature you want to vape at and it will hold that temperature. The mods will get cheaper. Vapor Shark rDNA 40s are on sale at 139. The new evic is going to be under 100 and I look to see lower priced ones soon. It's not cloud chasing it's temperature controlling.

EDO sent me this link in the NextGen thread about an excellent working TC 60W mod.
Unfortunately I spent all my vaping pennies for a while so I'll have to get one down the road.

$59.81 ZERO Modz Styled VW Variable Wattage APV Box Mod - 1-60W / 1*18650 / w/ temperature control function / SS at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I like the Resin versions better though.
