I won an eGrip OLED Kit: Joyetech eGrip OLED

ALSO, the egrip takes the GSAir coils, so I didn't have to start buying another type of coil to use my prize. Hopefully it will be a win/win. I am anxious to try it out.

Congrats, Nannala. I've indeed got the Cherry Red OLED eGrip (say THAT 7 times!). It also takes the Aspire BVC coils, which I like (and have an accumulation that overshadows my stash of Air coils). Pretty pretty as a picture...

HA- I see what you're saying -- whoever wrote the second one is wrong! This reminds me of a friend of mine who didn't realize the date changes at midnight and was a day late getting to the airport to leave out on a 1 AM flight. Never let her live that one down!

Yeppers, I do. I had to have this little itty bitty in the ar-sen-al.

Now, don't quote me, (ha ha. that's a forum joke) but I'm not sure if you have to do something special in order to use the Air coils. @solace.discord I'm sure knows better than I.

With the BVCs, you have to swap the pins. Just exchange the Grip pin for the Aspire pin, and good to go. It will not tighten down to an OCD level, but you will still be able to stand the device upright with no probs.

As far as vliquid changes, you can either pour (carefully) or syringe it out. Bada Bing! Enjoy your winnings! Oh...... what color will you get?

all I ever did was make sure the thicker silicone top ring was used for GS coils in the eGrip! some have said this isn't necessary, but I hate leaks so.. best not to chance it.

Airheads, a GS coil building question.

I am using 1 factory coil and another my gracious seller rebuilt using Cheech's Rayon and gauze method. The two coils they wound
are 1.6-1.7s.

I usually aim for 2 ohms with my Evod coils.

The rebuilt one pops and crackles a lot more than the stock one does. Anyone got a guess why? Seems to vape just fine though.

I much prefer a cooler vape, won't I be more likely to get that if I keep my GS winds to around 2 ohms like I am doing now
or is there something I'm missing?

Yep! And if it's such a big deal why not have the sale for 2 days to include the Friday. It would mean more money in his pocket and that's what he's all about now anyway. Oh well...his loss, my gain. I'll give that money to another vendor.

Bruce, the rebuilds I sent you pop because there is more airflow, rayon wick and the coils have spaces between them! the stock coils are built entirely different- dual coils, tightly wrapped and stacked, with silica wicking... I bet you could wrap to 2ohms no problem!

I fell asleep before I remembered to send you the wrapping notes- I'm leaving soon for work- promise to get back to you asap!

2 ohms would be fine in the Air...If you did it o the Evod, it'll be even easier on the Air coil.
