I almost turned sub ohm today. One of my coils went to .2 ohms. The 'Stick couldn't do it. Just through it in my recoiling pile.
I had one to go to .6 ohm's and the istick did fire it and I almost choked!! Lol

Tried using a strip of a Melitta #2 cup-style coffee filter as the surround. Didn't work out for me. Got dry hits even at low watts, even with 50/50 liquid. Could be the type of paper used.

Found a Johnson & Johnson, 3 inch "Steri-Pad". Found that it has 2 layers - an outer woven layer and an inner, softer layer not unlike the slightly stiff outer layers of a Japanese cotton pad. Just tried using a 1.75 inch strip of the inner layer material as the surround and got much better results, wicking-wise. Too early to comment on flooding/leaking, but so far so good.

I'm still getting better flavor out of my rebuilt Mini Protank 2s and I'm beginning to think that the warmth of the GS-MS's vapor might have something to do with that. Maybe the coolness of the MPT2's vapor allows me to better taste the flavors? Any opinions from the vets?

A couple of rebuilding notes:
- A 1.75 inch strip of surround material is just about right to go around 2x.
- I found it easier to apply the surround while having the coil head mounted on an Evod base and an ego battery. Once I wrap the first layer and lock the beginning end of the strip under the material to begin the 2nd wrap, I spin the battery to finish the 2nd wrap.

I'm not a rebuilder, but I enjoyed the Mini PT2 before discovering the Air and especially the Air M. I don't care for the warmer vape of the M and Ms, so I use PT drip tips (and other substantial all metal tips) on the entire GS Air family, and they all lived happily ever after.
