Ok I got my GS air in the mail today, loaded it up and let it sit a good half hour. My first impression is it seemed way to airy so I messed with that for a while and I think I may now be in love! Good flavor a perfect amount of vapor and easy enough to fill for a noob like me. The best part is it hasn't leaked all over me like my nautilus so that makes it a winner in my book! Thank you everyone for the help and advice!
Excellent! I think you're right about the fine tuning of a new tank, having to find what works best for you :) I wish I had your nautilus so I could try to figure out why it leaks, my two never have, so somethings defective or broken or something!

Its super annoying and frustrating all at the same time. I took it to our local shop...but they dont sell anything like it so he couldn't help.

Well put. That makes a lot more sense than the idea of juice thinning from the heat causing the flooding.
Yeah, I think so too now. While its true the viscosity of juice decreases significantly with increasing temperature, When its cool when I vape high VG juice in one tank (high viscosity) and lower viscosity 70PG/VG in another tank, I don't get gurgling in either. Also today vaping outside in 97 deg F heat, I had high VG in my short new GS-Tank which gurgled, and 70PG/VG in my taller GS Air tank, I had no gurgling in the taller GS Air, so the thinness of the liquid wasn't a factor there. So now the question is, why no gurgling in the taller tank. And I have noticed that sometimes letting my tanks sit with fluid in them upright overnight, I will on occasion get gurgling from them - I have read of some people taking the drip tops off and turning them upside down overnight. I might experiment on that as well, though I usually only have gurgling happen after I've refilled the tanks after a day of vaping and it happens on occasion the next morning. There's a lot that I don't understand about the physics of gurgling, and why in one tank and not the other. Yet.

May have had something to do with the volume of liquid to air in the tanks and/or the size of the juice flow openings in the coils. Air flow openings would probably be a negligible factor:2c:

Is it possible to test that theory? And how would I fix it?
If you suspect the top is leaking, you might
First I would inspect the top of the glass. Look for any chip or imperfection. A Nauti does have a gasket there doesn't it? Have a real close look at that. Visual things is all I can think of right now. Maybe I can think of a test. David?
Well I just happen to have my Nautilus Mini disassembled, and verified a quick test works for checking to see if air is getting into the top of the tank - with the drip tip removed, and the base removed and only the top cap screwed to the glass, cover the hole in the top cap with your finger and blow into the glass, you shouldn't really be able to blow any air through. I don't think that's likely to be the cause of juice leaking out through the air flow control holes though - I would suggest screwing the coil into the base and noting where the o-ring seals to the base, removing the coil and checking the sealing surface of the base (where the O-ring hits when fully in) for burrs, defects, etc. Other than that or a bad coil, I'm out of ideas. I wish we had our two Minis apart side by side, we could probably figure it out.

I am using the exact same type coils in both, 1.5 ohm dual coils. I thought the height of the liquid might be a factor, but both were about the same today. A mystery to be solved :D

Phewwww.... just finished catching up 2 days worth of posts.
Tomorrow, I am going to have a serious meeting with a to be convert and I am gonna introduce a GS Air, new 1.2 coil and original Istick along with some pay forward bottles. Nothing can go wrong here!

I filled my Lemo 2 and forgot to close the top fill and opened the air flow at the bottom and the juice poured out the air slot at the bottom in a split second. That's what made me think that could be it. I bet if you loosen the top of your Nauti it will come out the air holes too. Not trying to be argumentative mind you.

Having temps of 100 here in Texas. I've noticed gurgling is worse with low juice/more air in the tank.

WB. Are you going to weigh in on the Ismoka/Eleaf/GS air/GS-Tank debate? I stayed out of that because the Chinese use too many names who knows who they are, lol. I thought Ismoka Eleaf Istick30W was too long as it was haha. And whats this with them calling the NEW tank "GS Air" on the vendor sites? That was the name of the original tank that I believe they are stopping making. The box for the new one has "GS-Tank" on it. They make good tanks, but they sure do like confusing folks :)

So much is assumed, or reasonably deduced, and so little is verifiable.

This is true at present. iSmoka previously operated from a different website, using the name iSmoka. To further muddle things, Joyetech is thought by many to own both iSmoka, a product development and mfr.co. and former product trade name, and eleaf, a product line brand name. So far we have seen actual proof only that Joyetech owns the eleaf registered trademark (Not a company), an important bit of intellectual property, and not a tangible asset. Joyetech applied for IP legal protection for the iSmoka trademark (Again, a trademark, not a company.) but abandoned the application process. So we know that Joyetech owns the eleaf name, and reasonably conjecture or speculate that Joyetech also owns the operating assets of iSmoka, which has recently branded itself as eleaf. As Gabby Hayes might have said in a black and white Western of the 1950s, "they went whichaway!", pointing in many directions.

Then we agree that eleafworld.com can be looked upon to be an official source from the actual manufacturer. Bikenstein also provided a link Contact Information for Shenzhen iSmoka Electronics Co., Ltd. which helps to confirm the loop. Current website is eleafworld.com from that link.

iSmoka introduced a brand name that they applied to all their products (eleafworld.com says so).
iSmoka's website then becomes eleafworld.com (to reflect the branding maybe) (they still use @ismoka.com though for email which shows they are one and the same - ie: they have control of both @eleafworld.com and @ismoka.com right now).

I'm not trying to figure out if Joyetech owns anything right now... I am just trying to figure out if the premise: "eleafworld.com can be looked upon to be an official source from the actual manufacturer" is true or not...small steps.

So it would seem, but we don't know for sure. Eleafus is, possibly among other things, an internet retailer. I don't know if other U.S. retaillers order goods through eleafus.com, or through eleafworld.com, which does have wholesale information on its site.
Bikenstein provided two different emails from eleafus.com basically confirming this. And I clarified if it was indeed eleafus.com with Bikenstein that what I am about quote is eleafus.com words.
"For eleaf products we are only one of the distributors in USA we are not the manufacturer."
"there are so many distributors are out there just like us in USA who carry joyetech and eleaf products."
- see post 12383
Bikenstein asks "If you are only a distributor and not the manufacturer then why is this on your "about us" page?" - see post 12379
Which is the exact question that never gets answered on many other forums by eleafus.com. It is very misleading to many people.

Does any of the ownership stuff matter to us, as retail customers? Only if (A) we have warranty issues or questions, in which case it may matter a lot, or (B) we would like to know product release and/or discontinuance intentions to inform our own purchase plans.
Those things matter to me and it is on topic with the thread, I figured it would be ok ask questions and try to find out whats the real deal. I complied information about iSmoka before... this isn't the first time... check my blog... it is pretty dry but I tried to get it as factual as I could. Credited my sources... etc...

ie: - If eleafus.com says your istick isn't under their warranty that does not mean that eleafworld.com (ismoka) didn't make the product. It might be important to establish if the product is "authentic", in general, at one central website. The only way I know to do that is through eleafworld.com site. If eleafworld.com is actually the manufacturer then anyone can know if their istick is "authethic" through the serial number checker which they host. eleafus.com doesn't host the serial database as far as I know and has nothing to do with manufacturing or decision making as far as I can tell and only warranty stuff that is sold from their website. (ie: everything else that is made at a ismoka factory doesn't matter to them).

And yes I agree with your points A) and B) as well.

Cheers GranFumador
