I filled my Lemo 2 and forgot to close the top fill and opened the air flow at the bottom and the juice poured out the air slot at the bottom in a split second. That's what made me think that could be it. I bet if you loosen the top of your Nauti it will come out the air holes too. Not trying to be argumentative mind you.
well thanks I should test that! I do know that if the tank is vented on the top (top open), eventually the liquid in the coil and draw tube will rise to the same level as the liquid in the tank, therefore it would flow out the air holes before that even happens. I just didn't know why it would do that on first fill, quickly if that's what happened with yours. Worth looking into!

I suspect air may be getting in at the top of the tank. Just guessing.

If the top cap is screwed on too tight, the gasket can deform, which will allow air in, hence removing the negative pressure which keeps the tank from leaking. Read this on many forums and experienced once myself.

Also, if it has always leaked, the top gasket may have been installed upside-down.

This makes sense. I figured only the negative pressure in the tank was what kept the juice from flowing out. Thanks for the info!

I am just trying to figure out if the premise: "eleafworld.com can be looked upon to be an official source from the actual manufacturer" is true or not...small steps.
Indeed.

From the eleafworld.com site: "If you are interested in becoming a wholesaler. Please write to info@iSmoka.com to tell us a little bit about yourself.
If you have any feedback or suggestions about our products,or need for technical support, please contact service@ismoka.com

Email:info@ismoka.com
service@ismoka.com"

iSmoka points us at to eleaf, who send us to iSmoka. Two sides of the same three-headed creature. I think that the eleafworld.com website represents the entity we know as iSmoka.

Now tell me, please—Which side of the Möbius strip are we on?

The same side a cat would be on if it were on the strip... lol...
(The second word in the first sentence is my answer) :p

I am sure there is a joke you know or you know of a witty comeback to the question.

Cheers

I apologize for the long posts and late responses. I should've warned everyone sooner. I'm currently sleeping most of the time so I have a hard time keeping up. But I love reading all of the posts.

Take it from me, the Gourmet Juices thread in combination with threads like this one (or any other shiny thread) will keep you BROKE unless you learn to practice restraint! Ask me how I know, LOL! We sold almost $500 in juice in the classifieds last month and barely notice the bottles are gone. Trouble is, I am still searching for juice I really LIKE. No matter what stellar reviews you read, it really is true that taste is subjective. What someone else loves is nice to know, but it may not be anywhere close to something YOU like. It's just SO HARD to resist flavors that sound like they would be perfect for you. And also so much fun to SHOP! :)

I spent my first year trying to find good juice. Then I got lucky and found my perfect match. It has been great for my vape budget! I never stray from Ahlusion. I've tried over 100 flavors (200 if you count sweetened and unsweetened) and have only had one that I hated. Plus they've been having great sales so the price has been 25 cents per ml. I have over 30 favorites that I have to keep in stock! They taste great in the GS Airs. I'm just so greatful that I found a place that matches my taste buds. I hope you can do the same! I think finding the right flavors is so important especially to new vapers.

I wish I could say the same for hardware. I'm a lost cause.

I retired from the Navy in order to never, ever again hear "Reveille, reveille! All hands heave out and trice up! Now, reveille!"

Just gave myself the shudders...

I'm trying to catch up on posts....came across yours and I had to laugh. My husband is retired Air Force and our old house was about a mile from the base and we could hear Reveille every day. Bought a new house and it followed us! Luckily it's only if the windows are open since the new house has a 4.5 energy star rating. Our old house we could hear the neighbors talking through the walls! :w00t:

AllElseFailed, I think you'll like the originals just fine. My favorite are the Ms, but mainly because they hold more juice and I don't have to fill them as often. The downside is they have that small fill hole. I still use my 2 originals every day, though, and they vape almost exactly the same.

My favorite is still the original GS Airs! I love the size. They fit perfectly on everything and I get better flavor from them. I vape a lot of flavors throughout the day so the size works great for me. I have 2 Nautilus minis and I have never been able to get good flavor from them. I've had better luck from the regular size but they are still my least favorite tank.

I have been here since the beginning of this thread. I have post number 5 on page one of this thread! I still love my GS Airs. ( I don't have a life, but I do have GS Airs and this thread).

I heard about this thread from @Jingles and I'm so thankful. Thank you, Jingles. :) I do have trouble keeping up with all of the posts though!

I just ordered a second TC iStick from Rocky Mountain! Still $27.75 with the coupon code. The price is amazing for the best iStick ever! It just feels and looks like it is made so much better than my others'.

I ordered 5 packs of the cotton coils from Fasttech yesterday. I'm not a cloud chaser so I'm sure I'll be using the GS Air TC tank with regular coils. My last order was placed July 29 and cleared customs in LA on August 3. So my new tank should be here soon! :thumb:

Someone mentioned tossing out their iStick when the battery went bad. There is a YouTube video that shows how to change the battery! It uses an 18650 and looks pretty easy to do. I'm hoping my husband or son can do it for me and save them.

Yes exactly what I was looking for. I put it in my wish list to build an order. Thank you!

No Problem.

Like I said, it Works Great. And if you are going to build your own Coils, it (or something similar) is kinda a Must.

But if you get it from Fasttech, I would Highly Suggest that you throw a 50 Pack of Pre-Made Coils (in ohms of your choice) on you order also.

Ok I got my GS air in the mail today, loaded it up and let it sit a good half hour. My first impression is it seemed way to airy so I messed with that for a while and I think I may now be in love! Good flavor a perfect amount of vapor and easy enough to fill for a noob like me. The best part is it hasn't leaked all over me like my Nautilus so that makes it a winner in my book! Thank you everyone for the help and advice!
Another one has been brought to the dark side... his training progresses well.

Okay the broken piece has been removed from the tank. I think I might actually be able to repair it with some Super Glue.
I'd be careful with that. No telling how superglue reacts to vaporized PG and VG. You might get some minute amounts of the cyanoacrylate in your lungs... not particularly a good thing. I'd recommend just buying a new one to be safe and giving your cat the stink eye.

Well I hadn't thought of that. o_O
Of course, the cat has been given the stink eye several times over, but he doesn't care. Look at him. He just lays there... SLEEPING! With no conscience or remorse for his actions.

Then we agree that eleafworld.com can be looked upon to be an official source from the actual manufacturer. Bikenstein also provided a link Contact Information for Shenzhen iSmoka Electronics Co., Ltd. which helps to confirm the loop. Current website is eleafworld.com from that link.

iSmoka introduced a brand name that they applied to all their products (eleafworld.com says so).
iSmoka's website then becomes eleafworld.com (to reflect the branding maybe) (they still use @ismoka.com though for email which shows they are one and the same - ie: they have control of both @eleafworld.com and @ismoka.com right now).

I'm not trying to figure out if Joyetech owns anything right now... I am just trying to figure out if the premise: "eleafworld.com can be looked upon to be an official source from the actual manufacturer" is true or not...small steps.

Bikenstein provided two different emails from eleafus.com basically confirming this. And I clarified if it was indeed eleafus.com with Bikenstein that what I am about quote is eleafus.com words.
"For eleaf products we are only one of the distributors in USA we are not the manufacturer."
"there are so many distributors are out there just like us in USA who carry joyetech and eleaf products."
- see post 12383
Bikenstein asks "If you are only a distributor and not the manufacturer then why is this on your "about us" page?" - see post 12379
Which is the exact question that never gets answered on many other forums by eleafus.com. It is very misleading to many people.

Those things matter to me and it is on topic with the thread, I figured it would be ok ask questions and try to find out whats the real deal. I complied information about iSmoka before... this isn't the first time... check my blog... it is pretty dry but I tried to get it as factual as I could. Credited my sources... etc...

ie: - If eleafus.com says your istick isn't under their warranty that does not mean that eleafworld.com (ismoka) didn't make the product. It might be important to establish if the product is "authentic", in general, at one central website. The only way I know to do that is through eleafworld.com site. If eleafworld.com is actually the manufacturer then anyone can know if their istick is "authethic" through the serial number checker which they host. eleafus.com doesn't host the serial database as far as I know and has nothing to do with manufacturing or decision making as far as I can tell and only warranty stuff that is sold from their website. (ie: everything else that is made at a ismoka factory doesn't matter to them).

And yes I agree with your points A) and B) as well.

Cheers GranFumador

Mine is more of an impromptu schemer.

My Cat is more of a Calculating Schemer. And has a High Level of Defiance when she is Caught in the Act. As can be seen in this photo Immediately after a Lamp was Discovered laying on it's Side.

Dang it. I'm going to have to get serious about learning how to build coils. How do those little "cheat" rolling coil devices work? Worth looking into for a noob?

Yes. I have several "gizmos" that make tensioned coils but it's not all that easy. The easiest and most user friendly gizmo in my arsenal is the Kuro Coiler--I got the Tobeco clone (with removable rod) for $4 or so (just one size, 2.5mm) and now I can make beautiful coils with my eyes closed--just snip the wire, insert the wire in the hole, turn the coiler, unwind a couple of winds (those first ones are usually a bit crooked), and you're done.

The purists will tell you that coils wound without tension are inferior, and it very well may be true, but the convenience and consistency and ease of use are unbeatable. JMHO. :)

Yep. Coil jigs certainly make life a bit simpler. That said, I still usually wrap by hand on a jeweler's screwdriver, drill bit, syringe, or whatever... just the old school Navy electrician in me, I guess.

So, I finally received a vape mail package I've been waiting on for a week. A week for 2 day priority shipping... the vendor got it out the same day I ordered and I received it on day 8. Love that high quality USPS punctuality...
