I said "about" 42mm cause it is "about" 1 5/8". The op, I believe, just wanted a measurement that would let him know how the mod might look with the tank on it. .725mm would not mean much. Plus it measured slightly below the 1 5/8" mark on my tape measure.(so what does that calculate to?:)) As far as 13mm to replace 1/2", it makes little difference with wrenches that 1/2" is actually 12.7mm. Typical engineer thinkin, like you said. :laugh:

Might be possible to install the afc base after putting the top of the tank into the mod upsidedown... I don't see why not. Really doesn't matter (to a reasonable limit) if the ring width is slightly high.

It might just be Easier to Increase the Diam. on the Mod.

I prefer my mill drill.

That is a Very Handy Tool.

I have access to CNC's. And writing Code is No Big Thing. Done a Lot of That.

But it is Hard to beat a "Bridgeport" when it comes to doing a Quick n' Dirty detail on something.
