I have 2 eleaf Isticks both 20w. One has no problems at all.
On the other the 510 threads have stripped and I cannot get any 510-ego adapter to stay on.
I do have an adapter with the flange around the bottom. Looks like this

Any reason that I cannot just glue this adapter on to the Istick using a metal to metal glue with the glue around the bottom of the flange making sure no glue gets in or around the contacts? Would this hold up?
All of my tanks are ego threaded so I am not concerned about not being able to use a 510 tank.
Thanks.

Well gluing the adapter to the Istick seems to have worked like a charm.
I did look for other methods but the only one I found that seemed like it would work was replacing the 510 connector which would involve opening up the Istick. I wasn't up for that.

I put super glue for metal on the bottom of the adapter flange so no glue would go into the contacts.
I kept an ego threaded tank on top of the adapter so that I could make sure the alignment was right and the Istick would fire with the tank and adapter. Kept pressure on the tank/adapter while it set which took a few minutes and kept test firing to make sure the alignment stayed ok.
The adapter seems very secure now. No wobble when changing tanks. Will see how it holds up with everyday use.

Make sure you charge that sucker on a surface that won't catch fire. Shouldn't be a huge worry but just to be safe.

I do charge my stuff on a tile surface. But why the extra caution with a glued on adapter? I made sure no glue got in the 510 opening and the Isticks never get warm while charging (at least mine don't). Of course caution is always good.

The glued adapter is still working well.

I have one of those that I have not used. I really did not want to have an ego adapter on top of bending adapter. Although I do think it is a very good alternative if you use the 510 threads.

One Istick came with a flanged adapter that I leave on all the time. There is no sign of the threads stripping on it and no movement of the adapter.
The one with the stripped threads did not come with an adapter and I used one of the older style ones that I had.

I think that since the older adapter did not have the flange it moved a bit when I changed tanks and that finally stripped the threads. The flange on the newer adapter keeps the tank and adapter from moving in the 510 threads and prevents (or at least extremely slows) the stripping. The Istick with the flange adapter is 1-2 months older than the one that has the stripped threads.

The glued on flanged adapter is still working well and seems very secure.
Hopefully this is an inexpensive fix for others that have the same problem.
