Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I was just going to say that it was time to step up to an ipv mini. :toast:

As long as "Asmodus" is handling the warranty for P4U, many are avoiding everything in regards to P4U for very good reason. Asmodus is an atrocious outfit , they do not abide by the warranty rules even if it is in writing , they now charge administrative fees , make you pay full shipping costs and change the warranty terms when they feel like it .

When confronted about it , they will happily say if you don't like our rules then don't send the device , they are even responsible for cutting down many warranties from one year to 6 months and don't be surprised if the warranty gets even shorter WITHOUT notice.

P4U has refused to comment and thats why people are saying no to P4U.

If you think your Istick is worth repairing then the top cap route is the way to go. Keep in mind that the wires from the board will need to be extended to make up for the extra 10mm to the 510 so soldiering experience is necessary. Also as pictured and in hindsight I would have used the v3 shorty 510 from FDV. The v4 is nice but I've had issues with my atty sticking to the 15mm cap and loostening the connector in the top cap. I did fix that problem with some loctite and it's no longer an issue. I hate throwing things away so I opted to fix mine. It will be back up since tracking is showing my IPV mini in route to my house.

Did you use those extension caps in the pics a couple pages back? Are those also from FDV? I'm not having any problems with mine, just curious.

No they're david84's design. Laser cut acrylic. He posted in about 3 different places on here. It's a real nice piece and the best part gives life to the istick when the threads go. I got an extra for the wife's her threads are ok so far but why take a chance, besides she loves the little thing so I'll keep it going for her.
