Anyone else have the eleaf Istick 40 TC.

I bought this because it goes up to 40 watts like my Coolfire4 bit weighs about 1.5 ounces less. I like lanyards and the Coolfire at 5.3 ounces not counting the tank or atty is a bit much around my neck.

I bought the Istick because it is smaller and lighter than the Coolfire.

I have not gotten into the TC sids of the device.

Now I need to ask a couple questions for anyone else with the Istick 40 TC.

I REFUSE to use Nickel coils. Has anyone used Stainless steel or titanium wire on this mod in temperature control?

Has anyone had the warning "check Atomizer" warning when there was a working Atomizer on the device.

I have had this happen three times. All three times was with the Goblin Mini.

1. When dry burning my coil one of the screws backed out.

2. Yesterday I was at a place of business go out to vape. I try three times and no vapor with the check Atomizer warning. I go back in and tried one more hit and the Goblin Mini fired like a freight train so back outside to vape.

3. Last night before bed I have a vape an nothing Check Atomizer warming. Ibput the Goblin Mini on the CoolFire and vaped like a champ. I put the Goblin Mini back on the Istick and nice warm flavorful vape.

Does anyone else have the Istick 40TC and any problems reading the Atomizer?

Τhis is not a istick mini problem, but a goblin mini problem. When I wired it for TC mode, it happened 3 times to me, also. Had to empty the tank, and reasseble it.
After the third time, it stopped losing contact, but begun leaking when mouth inhaling. Had to open the air hole to the middle and begin light lung inhale. I decided never again to use mini goblin with tc, since the same happened when I attached it to a dna40 mod.
Otherwise, I had never any problems with my other atties, when vaping in both tc and vw. My other atties are a KL+ an eviva atmistique and a goliath v2.

I have the TC40W and not had any problems other than the battery not lasting long enough in TC mode.

If the atomizer is below the minimum ohms it will fire at you will get an "Atomizer low" message. When you put on the Goblin mini does it read the ohms correctly?

My thought is that it may be a problem with the 510 pin not making a proper connection.

1. I am not using the Goblin Mini in TC. haven't used it in TC all.

2. No firing issues at all on the Coolfire4..

No the mini is not wired too low. If memory serves both the istick40tc and Coolfire4 will fire all the way down to .3 ohms.

The coil on my mini is 28 gauge Kanthal 2mm diameter with 7 wraps and firing at 1.01-2 ohms.

I love the istick just wish I knew what was going on.

Another said the problem was the Goblin Mini itself. I will get rid of the Istick before I get rid of the mini. No glitches firing the mini on the Coolfire4 or even an x6 battery I paid $8.04 for.

I will be using the Goblin till I strip the threads because the flavor is out of this world. Every bit as good as the Rogue and Freakshow Mini both 18-19 mm tall not counting the 510 pin and drip tip.. The flavor of the Goblin Mini is even better than the Magma, N22, and Veritas. Atties

Try Eviva atmistique, a Greek RBA. (not the cheap clone from FT) And try it with Ni200 if you wish to forget your limitation abt this coil. Its taste will make you forget the goblin.
I know that you didn't wire the goblin for TC. I haven't yet tried it on my istick with kanthal. But I noticed the same attitude and mentioned it.
You know, some times an atty pairs with a mod in a unique way and the same atty seems to dislike another mod. Since you have more than one mods, try to use them with the attied that "play" better on them.

My experience with the iStick 40TC is that it's remarkably good at temp control for being so simple. My sole complaint is that, since it runs TC only at its full 40W output, battery life is extremely short. I run it only halfway down on the battery display bar, so I have to recharge the battery via USB two or three times each day. It would be more convenient for me if I could simply swap out an 18650 IMR rather than waiting for the slow USB recharge, but then it wouldn't be as tiny as it is.

I'm not disappointed in the iStick, however. I have a rapidly growing stable of TC box mods---currently four total, but with six more ordered and on the way---so for me, the iStick's limitations simply are what they are.

The IPV D2 seems to be what you want... small, variable joule mode in tc, decent power and removable 18650 battery. Hope that's one of the 6 you have ordered or you might be ordering another!

Yup, the iPV D2 is one of the six on the way. I made the silly mistake of ordering it from efuntop in July to save ten bucks, so I haven't received mine yet. I presume that it will arrive eventually. Efuntop has already sent an email apologizing for the delay, subtly blaming Pioneer4U for not sending their shipment on time. Four of the others are coming from fasttech or gearbest, so I don't expect them before September. The Smok Koopor Mini 60W TC I ordered yesterday from angelcigs' American warehouse will probably be here in a few days.

I might have ordered at least some of these from American vendors for quicker shipping, but my debit card was hacked recently (for the fourth time in three years), so I had to close the account, apply for reimbursement for the fraudulent charges ($300 for a hotel room in Paris, LOL), and wait for a new card, making Paypal my only option in the meantime. Ecig vendors seem to be especially bad risks for credit card theft, at least in my case.

Sorry but I will stay with the Goblin Mini. I want the convenience of a tank and the best flavor I can get.

I have several great flavor chasing atties.

I yesterday gave mini goblin another chance with the eleaf. This time I got a 4.38ohm with ni200. Finally, I found the problem: one or its delicate screws that hold the wire. Although the atty is new, the screw is difficult to turn till the bottom. I managed to do it and vape with it now.
Two bears: eviva is a tank atomizer. It has an accessorie to become a dripper. But, as you said, tanks are convenient.

I looked at the Eviva on you Tube and eBay. Everything I saw was a dripper with no tank

Glad you got the little Goblin working.

Speaking of those screws THEY ARE TINY!
