Hola, has anyone maybe encountered a problem when the mod is showing those ghost ohms like, 0.7 ohm resistance without any atomizer on it and ghost fires? Same as ths guy. Istick 60w TC - False ohms readings, not firing Any experts out there? Screwing the atomizer on doesn't even affect the resistance reading so since I've kinda disassembled it a bit, checked the wires and pin insulation I assume I've burnt some chip on that board, right? No burnt smell coming from the board though. Is my stick basically bricked?

I have not heard anything, sorry. Did you search anywhere else yet?

Did you have the problem before you disassembled it?

>sorry to hear you're havin' troubles...
I've got no solution, but just to say (for the record) we have /use four of these and they perform impeccable...
best $28 (x4) I ever spent

yes, it was all fine but then I just put new coils on my tank, vaped a couple whoofs and whooptie-doo. Ghost ohms.

I ordered 2 kits for like $35 (hehe) from gearbest using points. The second one for a bud, his is still working fine. I have the istick 100w tc now and it's awesome but huge and heavy. I'd love to fix the darn thing but oh well. Preordered the new wooden kamry 80 tc to resell but thinking of keeping it now.

Yes.
A 60w TC I got from Vapenw is doing that.
The screen is 'flickering' and shows .4 ohms.

Anyone have the dreaded 'atomizer short' with the Istick 60w TC?

Mine was acting 'funny' a few weeks in.
Seemed it was the 'phatom click' thingy.
But it was/is giving the 'atomizer short' error.

Has gotten worse....
Now it shows it with no atomizer attached...
and shows 0.4 ohms...
and the screen flickers.
Seems like a problem with the chip rather than the ground?

Of course, it was week 5 it 'died'.
1 week past the 30 day 'warranty'. (HA!)
Guess I can take it apart now - can't break what's broke!
Next weekend.....

Never got a chance to try the TC.
Gonna get another one (want 2) ... maybe another vendor...
Can't complain too much.
100% perfection with all purchases up to this.
And only out $25.

Any clues on how to trick the mod to not to lock the battery at 45% of its charge? It basically ruins the battery, calling it a security reason. Have to put my batteries into the mech mod to fully discharge.
Lookrd around, but didn't find a solution yet.
Why do you want them to fully discharge?

Well, I thought it was the law for a healthy battery - full charge - full discharge? Full cycle that is. Anyways, what's the point of using only half of what it can give?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
That was true for NiCads but not true for the Lithium batteries we use in our e-cigs. They should never be fully discharged. That decreases their life and can cause them to explode when recharging. You don't fully discharge your car battery every week, do you? Full discharges are not right for every battery type.

That old rule does not apply to these type batteries. They will work and last longer if you don't let them fully discharge. There is a lot of info on the web about how to maintain ecig batteries. Check it out.

so TWO THINGS:

•you're saying your TC60 is not using enuff battery
it's leaving it close to 50% then flash warns you ???
mine goes down to like 3.3v before it flashes at me

•and as mentioned, Li-ion does not need to be full Dis-charged
Li-ion has NO MEMORY (like old Ni-CD)

do you know/have you ?
5 clk device off
while OFF, HOLD fire button & (-) for like 12 seconds
TC60 will show you your battery state of charge in "V"

mine was just 3.58V

I generally don't allow my batteries to get too low
but a few times my TC60 'flashed' at me a warning

it is NOT GOOD to allow a Li-ion to get OVER DISCHARGED

keep us informed

Thanks for that guys, appreciate the info!

Correct, it starts saying "Battery Low" and when I plug it into the charger (Nitecore UM20) - it usually says 45-50% full(empty?).
My apologies, haven't heard about that checking of the battery state of charge in Istick TC 60w :(. In fact, keeping it for 12 (and more) secs on fire while turned off does nothing.
Anyways, you say that you're at 3.3v when it flashes "battery low". My configuration at the moment on VW is 2.60v (40w, .17 ohms to be precise) which is below your level, right? Maybe there's something I'm missing in general? :?: Appreciate your suggestions!

first; you HOLD "fire button" AND down/negative button(-) at same time together(device OFF)

second: you're talkin' about the "V" (2.6v) the 'chip' is putting out to your coil (we want to talk about batt capacity now)

we are talking about the charge left IN YOUR BATTERY...
it's not good to take a Li-ion below 3.0V so most manufacturers set 'cut-off' maybe 3.4v - 3.2v

keep reading up about it all and let us know
keep askin'
good luck
