I know, I want to buy the 50w.
I own the 20w already.
Nobody seems to know the amp limit...

I don't think they've specified an amp limit for it yet Noahfence. I've seen multiple reports of it being able to fire down to 0.2ohms though - although nothing confirmed from eleaf that I've heard.

Ohms law for current is: I=E/R (I=V/R in modern form).

At 50 watts with a 2 ohm coil it reads 10V. That would be 5 amps. At 1 ohm you'd draw 10 amps. 10V is the top stop for voltage. It's said to read resistance down to .4 ohms and vape up to 5 ohms, but I don't know what it would do at the .4 ohm resistance. It would cut off if the wattage or amperage drain were exceeded.

I ran the numbers through an Ohm's law calculator.

To stay safely below the 50W power limit at .2 ohms, you'd have to vape no higher than 3.1V. That would put you at 48.5W and 15.5A.

Amp limit is 15.
How do I know? I took apart an istick 50w and an istick 30w. Both had the same 18650 batteries inside...unbranded but marked with 15A CDR. I may still have pics on my old phone, will find it and check if anyone wants me to...
Why is eleaf marketing a 50w/0.2ohm 'limit'? Probably because they can, knowing they're protected from any liability issues due to not only the unregulated-as-yet nature of vaping, but also the fact they've never stated an amp limit...
