If your going to try an prove a point, learn to spell correctly an stop chatting complete rubbish. You are trying to dismiss ohms & they matter weather it is regulated or a mech.
If you are really this stupid you are dangerous so stop trying to be smart please. It is part of a balanced system & the only person whose laughable here is you, I don't want to read a post of someone trying to demonstrate he's right when he's not. You think ohms don't have anything to do with amps or current...
You are absolutely incorrect :)

I'm sorry Skold.

But the Ohms of an Atomizer on a Regulated mod Doesn't Effect the Battery Amp Draw. You are thinking of a Mechanical mod.

Please post what the Battery Amp Draw is for Regulated mod running at 40 Watts at 3.2 Battery Volts using a 0.1 Ohm Coil.

Now Post what the Battery Amp Draw is for Regulated Mod running at 40 Watts with a 3.2 Battery Volts using 3.0 Ohm Coil.

Don't feel you need to say sorry, but if you know these things & know your ohms you shouldn't need to ask.

& just cos it's regulated doesn't mean it doesn't affect it, you can get a mech with built in safety features. You cannot dismiss battery amp draw weather it is regulated or not an he was right about it all being a balanced system.
You have no right whatsoever to be so rude to people! Use your manners.

LOL. I think you Misinterpreted what I posted.

I'm Not sorry for what I posted. I'm Sorry if someone Thinks that Atomizer Ohm effects Battery Amp Draw on a Regulated Mod.

No one said it affects it, simply said that it matters cos it's part of the whole system. You cannot just dismiss it, it serves a purpose!

Sure. We can talk about how Ohms Effects the Hit you get. But that isn't Relevant to what I Posted regarding Battery Amp Draw.

BTW - I Didn't ask you to post the what the Battery Amp Draw is for that 0.1 and 3.0 Ohm Coil because I don't know what they are. I asked you what the Battery Amp Draw is so you can see that for a Regulated Mod, they are The Same.

You are so up yourself, have you considered that no one wants to talk about amp draw & I really don't care about ohms either at the minute.
Just wanna see people's thoughts on the istick lifespan. You didn't need to go into any of this

You know.. over and over, you and few others prove that you are arrogant, don't have a proper understanding about a lot of things and do nothing more than childish attacks.

It's petty and sad. The ohm will affect a regulated mod in multiple ways, from the draw, to the limitations of the wattage output, but I see that you're too stuck in your ego to understand this and have continued the childish comments...

The only one here moving goal posts is you, as I explained my original post that you attacked, and to save face, you continued this barrage.

Don't even bother replying as you're going back on my ignore list, this time for good.

Then Don't Reply to Posts.

This BS that Ohms effects Battery Amp Draw on Regulated Mod's has gone on for Way Too Long. And it keeps being Perpetuated because Uninformed Members keep repeating it.

Good. I'm Glad you Finally put me on your Ignore List. Because then I will not have to Correct your False Statements you make when Replying.

You are Just Wrong about Ohms having some effects of Battery Amp Draw for Regulated Mods. Or causing a Regulated Mod to Blow Up.

Maybe let's put this to bed? From mooch, on reddit:

"I am tired of seeing this error being made around here. Most people still seem to be living in the mech mod days, where in order to calculate the current (amps) being drawn from the battery, you only need to know the resistance of the coil and the nominal voltage of the battery. This makes sense on a mech because the resistance of the coil is the ONLY thing you have control over (well that and the charge of the battery). However, if you are using a regulated mod, this does not apply. Resistance of the coil means absolutely zero on a regulated mod."

HERE IS A LINK to the on-ECF post where Mooch explains the calculation in detail.

I think we all trust mooch, right??

I'd just get a new iStick.

My wife went through 2 Istick50's in about a year using one while the other charged. They are rather cheap but still its a waste to toss a perfectly working board cause the batts crapped out. They were the first and last internal battery hitter I will ever buy. I took one apart and one day going to replace the batts since it doesn't look all that hard to do but I have other hitters so I'm in no hurry.
Just to avoid getting poo flung at me..my wife tootle puffs at less then 15 watts.
I had a 30W istick a while back that simply had less and less life, and at the end could barely last a 1/2 hour's worth of vaping.
We followed it with a 50W to replace it, which lasted a good 6 months until we got a few Innokin Coolfire, but by then I started to get mods that were 18650 replaceable ones...

I ended up giving my 50W to someone (with a tank) as a starter kit and as far as I know, she might be still using it (as for the following year, I knew that she was still using it). It's been a while now, but odds are that it's still working.

The Coolfires must be getting close to 3 years old now if now more and are still working fine (I only use them sparingly with one of my RDAs, even though at 40W, it's kinda low).

It really does depend on the battery's quality and usage.

And for your comment about replacing it, I'll say the same that I did already, as long as you're careful with soldering a battery and use a proper one (as per my other comment, that video that someone posted, shows someone putting in a low drain 6A type, which isn't something that I'd recommend). But with a decent 15-20A battery, done right (the soldering) is should be fine.

Note that I've seen a few mods that some people tried to do this and it didn't end well, the mods ended up with a vent, and worst part, one person insisted that it was fine and kept using it, even with part of the mod having melted in part, but since the battery was still outputting some power, he kept using it until it died.

Mooch's comments involves high drain batteries with coils that have a decent range.

I you want to keep this joke going, just go read all the sites of the manufacturers that state clearly that you have to use proper batteries (high drain, 20-25A are highly recommended). If the ohms are too low, the regulated mods will not fire, and if you force the issue, the batteries will overload in a regulated mod. Some mods have circuitry that monitors the batteries and it is sees that something's off if you have wattage that's too high, it will not fire.

It's all about safety.... but somehow some of you can't wrap it around your heads.

Funny, feel like I just made this post, but you seem to have a real problem with people disagreeing with you, or even showing you evidence to the contrary of certain incorrect things you believe @Imfallen_Angel. As such, I'm going to let this be. I trust Mooch, and I know how to read. Good luck.

It's nothing about "disagreeing", it's about correct information, ensuring that newbies get proper information towards safety.

Disprove what I just stated if you can... good luck with that, and no moving the goal posts either, but I doubt that you'll resist.

At least you're showing to be another with the ego thing that I've mentioned.

People are allowed an opinion, he has in no way showed his ego. And he's right you just can't let people disagree with you.
I can see I'm wrong why can't you??

I'm leaving the proof with mooch. You can read it if you so choose. I highly recommend everyone does.

I have literally no idea what you are talking about with the rest. As I said elsewhere, if you have a problem with how I respond to notifications and when, take it up with someone else. I am not sure what makes you feel you have say over how other members use this forum, but you seem to believe you do.

@Skold sorry, nevermind, missed your reply, misunderstood. I am bowing out. You have been just great.
