I've used the MVP2 for about a year. Yes, it's extremely reliable. Never had a problem with it that wasn't of my own doing (threads). Started using the istick a month or so ago and I'm loving it. The convenience of it tops the MVP. I got it because I wanted something smaller to use in the car. Now I find I'm using it all the time. Another point, minor, but it does make a difference: you can drop the istick into the pocket of a pair of dress slacks and it fits comfortably. Try that with the MVP and it ends up looking like, um, something else
Yes, the istick runs a little hotter but I haven't found it to be an issue. My advice? Get both as they're relatively cheap, and keep them in rotation. As others have said, there's little more important than having a backup. Good luck! And welcome to ECF!
