I can understand the video misrepresentation but the problem for me is that the kangertech will still produce bigger clouds which is what is really bothering me
Ok. For one, clouds do not constitute flavor or quality. Clouds are mainly an aesthetic part. I believe someone already mentioned this, but blowing clouds is a mixture of power, airflow, and juice. I will try to explain...
Power: the more power you put into coils will allow for more heat to be generated. The heat evaporates the liquid, which cools the coil down a bit.. so if you can continuously supply more heat faster, you can, in essence, create more clouds.
airflow: This is important for several reasons. As air goes over the hot coils, it brings along the vapor. The higher quantity of air that passes over the coils, the more air you have in your lungs that is filled with vapor. Most cloudchasers have a huge airflow...but they sacrifice flavor because they're actually blowing more air than vapor... it just occupies more space. The vapor is not as dense as someone who is more concentrated on flavor. Airflow also cools the area around the coil. This cools the coil more than just blowing on it, since it clears the area around the coil to allow for more juice to be evaporated.
lastly is juice. VG will produce more clouds than PG. In many videos, and showboating, they are vaping almost pure VG or a very high VG juice. VG tends to have a smoother draw than pg, but it also doesn't have as much flavor as a PG based juice. PG and nicotine give you that hit at the back of your throat. PG also is a better "flavor holder" than VG. VG is thicker, and doesn't wick as fast as PG, and VG produces more clouds.
If you were trying to quit smoking, I personally would've recommended an Istick 30 and a higher nicotine based juice. Most smokers who try vaping will cough, due to the fact that vapor is denser than smoke. This usually turns smokers off of vaping and they go back to cigarettes. I've noticed it's better to start a smoker off with a higher nicotine based juice, and a device set at around 15 watts. As they become a vaper, they may want to go higher, but for starters, it's more important to get them off the cigarettes than it is for them to be blowing clouds.
I think what the vape shop sold you is fine for someone trying to stop smoking. The Istick is a fine device. I don't know what your cousin is using, but the fact that an evod is producing more clouds does tend to put a big question mark on your device.
First, what ohm rating is that atlantis.. make sure it's reading at around .5 to .6 ohms. second, what wattage are you vaping at? Third, what do you have the airflow setting for on your atlantis?
Here's a review on Youtube. That video was done with it being set for 15 watts on an istick 30. See if that's the type of clouds you're getting.
