The Fredericksburg Freelance Star has (finally) published my letter to the editor in response to the story "A safe alternative, or a risky experiment?".

Fredericksburg.com - Electronic cigarettes: Far safer than tobacco

They did change my title, which was "Asking the wrong question."

I'm not pleased with the title they wrote. I would have said "far safer than smoking" but not "far safer than tobacco," because all of the research on Swedish snus shows that it does actually reduce smoking-related risks.

Looks like the tobacco Control Nazis have done a good job of propaganda. Now they have journalists using the words "tobacco" and "smoking" interchangably.

Please do some research before spreading more disinformation. The FDA study is factually inaccurate. Numerous studies have been done proving the reduced harm of electronic cigarettes. Four chemicals in e-ciggs vs 4000+ in cigarettes. FDA Propaganda vs gas chromotography. Simple math.

The second comment posted (to Elaine's letter) by Dp Selfe is hilarious, and it appears that he was being honest.

Lastly, if you get the patches, remember that they're stickers that go on your arm....one at a time. I had trouble at first because I couldn't keep them lit. They do not taste good at all.

Couldn't agree more...
I had to email the author. Part of the email
"Nicotine itself is not carcinogenic, according to the International Agency for Research on Cancer, but is implicated in heart disease." (quoted from Safe Cigarette Alternatives? Industry Critics Say)
