Both models Elegant & Defender must be modified Egos.
I like V4L 808 premium/cool cartomizers and interested in Elegant and Defender because they pre-modified for 808 cartos.

Funny, 2 bat. starter kits go for EXACTLY same price: $69.95

Elegant comes with 1 CUSTOMIZED CONE DESIGNED FOR CARTOMIZERS, I guess in Defender it must be built-in.

Defender comes with 90 Day Warranty on Starter Kits/14-day Money Back Guarantee on Starter Kits.
Elegant comes with 7 day Warranty/Return Policy.

Anyone knows about any other differences btw those two models?
Any personal experience and suggestions?

On another end I can have full Joyetech EGO Kit (original?) for about same price $66.95 + 510>808 Thread Adapter for $4.25
Or Hello-016 (isn't Hello-016 same as Ego but with 1300 mah battery?) from the same website for $44.95 (one battery kit)

Plus there are Hello-Good-Buy (one 1300mah battery) for $50.00; EGOMania 900 with 2 900mAh batteries for $79.00; and Riva (2 batts) for $67.00.

Plus there is NOT a Joyetech Ego but a champion performer for $49.00 - NO RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Plus there is full Joye-eGo kit (original?) for $49.99 - so far best price with 30 day no hassel refund policy. - ups they ship from China...

What you think?
What model will perform best?
Eventually joyetech EGO seems to be good choice just because it's ORIGINAL Ego (isn't it?).
Hello-016 looks great because of 1300mah battery.
By the way, would those models look ugly with Thread Adapter?

Any suggestions are welcome.
Your favorite suppliers their warranties and discount/shipping codes are welcome as well.

I have used an eGo battery with a thread adaptor for KR808D-1 cartos for a while now. I have been pleased with it. The BI thing to understand is that the KR808D-1 cartos are designed for 3.7V batteries, and the eGo, and I presume the clones are designed for 510 attys, so are 3.3V

This may not be a big deal for you, but going from a REAL 808 battery to an eGo with an adapter reduces throat hit, and makes for a smoother vape, as the voltage is lower.

Thanks for reply, oettinger,

I'm not exactly sure what I need, that's why all help is appreciated.

I started on 808D-1 manuals, now I'm hooked on PT from same kit: flavor and vapor are much better. What I actually trying to get is PV with output like PT.

If Defender/Ego/Hello etc produce 3.3V, they probably would not help. Someone said PT produces about 4.5V - that's why better flavor/vapor etc. (I don't care much about looong battery life, my V4L manuals last good so far).

Well, there is ProVipe with 3.7V, question is if ProVipe would give better kick than regular 801D-1?

Vini, the least expensive thing for you and most reasonable thing to do, IMHO, is that if you're bent on using cartomizers is to get yourself a LR 510 carto and an adapter for your 808 battery. You could then compare the LR carto on your 808 battery to your PT side by side. (roughly the same wattage)

LR (attys and cartos) simulate a higher voltage vape. So, before you plunk down $125 for a Provape or whatever you could get a sense of what the LR world is all about for about $10.

Thanks Richie G, it makes a lot of sense.

I found an adapter (901/808D-1 bat to 510 at), I guess that's what I need to try.

Plus there is SD-MKII 901 to 510 Dual Low Resistance Atomizer Conversion kit This Excellent kit allows you to convert the Screwdriver MKII from its 901 default atomizer connector to a 510 atomizer connector, it also includes two regular 510 atomizers
As far as I understand, this kit would do the trick, right?
Eventually 901 and 808D-1 have the same thread, correct?
If I get this kit, do I need anything else?

Feel free to share your favorite suppliers.

The adapter is really all you need, as using 510 LR Cartomizers are the idea.

Yes, 901/KR808D-1 threads are the same, a 901 just doesn't have the air holes for the 808 cartos.

I use these LR cartos. http://www.vsvapor.net/smoking-vaporizer-VS-Versus-510-(Mini)-45

Although they seem to be out of stock. They are High Quality and very inexpensive.

Exactly as Oettinger opined above.

You mentioned a current penchant for the 808 carto on a PT which is why I steered you into the direction of adapting to a 510 carto. In any case, the adapter is the key ingredient and will allow you to use either carto or atty in the 510 style (be it low resistance or standard).

Thanks everyone.

I'm getting it now.

Unfortunately those (provided link) LR cartos are still out of stock.

I found some at madvapes LR 510 Cartomizers 1.7 ohm by Bauway (< are they OK?) plus there is a adapter 901 Battery to 510 Atomizer adapter - as far as I understand it should be all I need to get 510/Ego/Riva experience on my 808D-1.

Am I correct?

Any feedback on supplier?

Coupon code?

EDIT:
Someone suggested to get real 510/Ego experience, I have to try atty + dripping or at least atty + [lipton bag fill]cartridge.
Makes any sense?
