Ludo,

I vape your RY4 in clear, mega dual coil cartomizers (EDCC) at 4.5 volts. I also vape another companies eliquid that has the same light color as your Elixir eliquid. After about 2 - 3 days of vaping both liquids, I notice the liquid in both cartos darkens in sections of the cartomizer, especially near the bottom of the cartomizer. Do I have any reason to be concerned that the eliquid has changed color and darkened? If the carto still seems to vape OK should I continue to add eliquid and continue using it or should I throw it away and start with a new one? I typically vape the same carto for about 4 -5 days and then throw them out.

Thanks

It is not the liquid that changes color, it is the heating coil's metallic surface. Heating coils typically burn on the suface and will, after time, clog any liquid residu that resides on the heating coil. This residu will eventually mix with the rest of your liquid. This happens with any kind of atomizers.

Changing your atomizer in due time and/or washing your atomizer is a standard procedure you should perform.

So it sounds like what you are saying is that it's not harmful but probably will affect the taste of the eliquid in a negative way in the carto and probably is the right time to pull out a new one, when I start to see these dark patches appearing in the carto filling.
