I recently ordered three different liquids from a known supplier and they all had the taste and smell of perfume. Seriously, it tasted as though I had accidentally sprayed fragrance into my mouth and it was a hard taste to get rid of. Many of you seem to like their liquids and the service and prices were fine. Each flavor I ordered was very different so I don't know what causes this. I have three 50ml bottles that won't be used. Bummer.

I know, I know....get samples first. But sometimes I look at the cost of shipping being the same no matter what size the order is and if the price of the liquid is good then I just bite the bullet. I guess the bullet bit me back!

I've had no unpleasant surprises with FSUSA and madvapes and I'm awaiting my first Backwoods Brew order.

Some companies just aren't as great as some people leave them to believe. I have let them steep a few days, a week, and even a few weeks, and some... just have a fragrance to them and a taste that isn't pleasant. I don't care how long you steep it, some just are... well... GROSS.

;)

Not gonna name drop, cuz each person likes what they like.

I have had it happen to me where the juice tasted like perfume on the inhale but great on the exhale. It was rough but I just kept vaping it and finally the juice lost the perfume taste to it after chain vaping for a few hours. Since you have 150ml of this stuff you might try just powering through it and hopefully your taste buds will adjust or give up.

A good number of the available eliquids have floral essences in them. Almost all of the tobacco or tobacco / other-flavor blends have floral components in them to some degree. Some use rose, lavender, and other floral essentials in an attempt to simulate the notes found in tobacco smoke. Flavor and aroma essentials are an organic product, and natural variations occur in every plant and crop of plants. Essentials sourced from one origin may differ greatly from one crop to the next. Simply using a measured formula for a specific flavor won't always produce consistant results. Subjective qualities must be sampled by humans and adjustments made each time a batch of essentials changes if the characteristics that the product are known for are to be maintained batch to batch. Take coffee for instance. We all expect a cup of Maxwell House coffee to taste like the cup we had before from a different bag, even though each bean used to produce each bag is unique. To accomplish this, the coffee companies employ 'cuppers', people who constantly taste the product and make adjustments to ingredients to make sure the product taste the same over time. The state of the market for eliquid is still young and brands have not risen to great popularity yet so the expense to maintain that level of consistency isn't feasible yet. Additionally, many of the Chinese vendors have responded to customer's complaints that the flavors were to subtle and have simply increased the amount of flavor in their products. This can cause some essentials to become overpowering when their proportion is not adjusted in the total product. I have had similiar flavors from different manufacturers / suppliers that you would not recognize from batch to batch from the same supplier, much less say they all tasted the same across suppliers, even though they were all called the same thing. Many floral essentials are oil based and tend to float to the top. Make sure you shake the hell out of the bottle before using it. If you get a strong floral smell when the bottle is open then you may be able to evaporate some of it away by exposing the liquid to air for some time. Increasing the surface area of the liquid exposed to air would help as well. Try pouring the offending stuff into a clean bottle with a larger opening and leave it open for a few days, swirling ever now and then. Be careful where you leave the bottle to avoid contaminents from getting into the bottle though. Also, flavors tend to mellow over time as oxidation breaks down the essentials. If they still taste bad after a week, put them away for a few months and try them again. I have been surprised what a difference in flavor a little time can make. If all else fails, use them up over time by cutting them into other flavors in small quantities, just be careful not to "ruin" any of your good flavors by using too much at one time.

I recently sprung for a 30ml of a certain flavor from a popular vendor...and "to me" it tasted like crushed multivitamin. It's been a couple weeks, I may try it again, but the flavor threw me off something terrible. My atty was hosed for a bit too, had to run a proper clean. Kinda sucks I got that particular one in 30ml!!

I have found that when I don't rinse the carts out or don't use new clean carts, by mixing two different juices together , in other words, adding one juice on top of another, the two juices react and give you that perfumy taste. This happened to me for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

When I kept the juices separate, they were great. Since I test flavors all of the time, I just hit those 2 flavors just right. And YUCK! Just my experience.

I've been lucky and only had one real bad juice that tasted and smelled like baby powder. This was Viking Vapor's Marlboro. I let it steep a month and it's still as bad as day one. You can smell it as soon as you take the top off the bottle and the taste is twice as bad. I would declare war if I had a large bottle of that garbage. I've been pretty lucky as I said and have been able to doctor up a few marginal juices. The Viking juice is so bad I don't want to throw good juice in it, the baby powder is that strong.
