They are not as long lasting as I would hope... from what I've heard, but I could be wrong (small edit... whoops)

I thought about buying them (one or two) and got some opinions about how long the so-called 'upgraded' heads lasted and the answer was - 'about the same as the old ones'... which is not very long for me. 3 days max. I'm not even a heavy vaper*.

(I know, hard to believe*....)

Yes, got three of them and they're very good.
Easy to fill, clean and replace the coil.
They sit very neatly on a Spinner ll or the appropriate Kanger battery, and also on the new iStick and the MVP2.

There's also a mega size and they too have their own matching battery (MyEpack are a good price for the two).

Can't say I've counted the days in use for the coils, but they're good - I'd have noticed if they didn't last long.
No leaking, siphoning or dry hits either.
I do use a few liquids that are rough on coils - chocolate for instance, but the flavour is good and I get enough use from them with those liquids that I'm not concerned. I think they're as good as Nautilus BVC coils with these liquids too.

Seeing the post from djs, I'd be inclined to agree 0 they do last around the same time as the old type, but with the MOW, I don't get any leaks/siphoning, and I did get that a lot with the Unitank.

OK just a quick update.
The girlfriend loves the tank, says it's the best tank she's had. Time will tell regarding the heads and their longevity but so far so good.
Will update again when she's used a couple of heads.

Great!

I got my ET-S tanks today and once the BDC is used up I shall install the BVC.

Let battle commence! :)

(Actually, the BDC is working, which I suspected it wouldn't)..... I know you are totally upset with Aspire, so I won't cheat and make out anything....

Good! Hope it keeps on working well. Mine have never given me a problem. Got two in use every day.

Indeed, Aspire can do one as far as I'm concerned. :p

I love my eMOW Steve. Although the paint came off totally with all the cleaning. It was red but is now stainless steel lol!

The heads i found to last a little longer than the standard single coil kanger heads and they are slightly better quality. Here's a tip - as you can't really strip them down without breaking them, do what I do, soak them in vodka overnight then soak them in boiling water for a few hours. Leave them to dry totally for a few days and they are as good as new. There is a video on youtube showing how to dry burn them but there is a risk that you can destroy them by taking them apart.

My only grip is that I wish the airflow ring had a stopper as it goes around 360 degrees.

Thanks for that, will try that when we have a few. :)

Hi All,

sorry for jumping in. I have just ordered an EMOW Mega to sit on my nice new shiny iStick. Regarding the upgraded enclosed coils that can be used on these tanks, I have seen that they are a bit of a pain but can be rebuilt. With my protank 2 I rebuild my coils vertical and wrap japanese cotton around the coil which is good, I was just wondering has anyone tried this method with the new upgraded "enclosed" kanger coils?

Waiting for vapemail to deliver so I can try it out but if anyone has any experiance with this would be apreciated.

Cheers

As far as I know these units are sealed. Breaking them apart literally destroys them, I could be wrong but the youtube videos I have seen thus far have only got as far as taking out the chimney to do a dry burn and that in itself on these heads is a risky operation.

What I have been doing is soaking them in vodka and then boiling water. I left them for a week to dry out and 90% of the time good as new. The only head that went to the 'vape shop in the sky' was one that I had Grandmas Cinnamon roll in as that is quick gloopy.

If you look here from post 10 onwards there is a way to get the chimney off without breaking them

Also this was an interesting read

Cheers - it's a bit of a potch though isn't it? I'll keep with the cleaning out method for now but when I get time (and a good pair of spectacles) I'll disassemble one to have a looksy.

I don't think it will be too much of a pain to do, I already to vertical coils on my protank 2 heads and wick with muji cotton. A lot better vape in my opinion

I'll let you know how I get on when I get them
