That's normal customs procedure. All incoming parcels required to go through customs inspection clearance.

If you are lucky, it just chop as "dilepaskan" and will deliver to you. If not, they suspect your contains are illegal / taxable, they will issue a letter to you, ask you to go there for clerifications. They won't just confiscate your parcel just like that.

hahaha... and they'll give you a knife and a roll of masking/ducktape to open your parcel and show them what's inside then close them back. :toast:

once open up the parcel and they will ask "ni apa?" aho ho!.......should you tell the truth or not? big gamble.

Normally to be safe, tell the truth and pay the tax. Although officially the tax of e-cig supplies are fixed and even you show your the payment documents, but it's up to them to valuate your goods. There are many ways to tax higher than the fix rate. But at least you still get your goods.

Not tell the truth? I don't think at that stage you will lie.

already said in thread #2, all parcel must go through customs inspection. Then it depends on your quantity and luck to "calculate" the chances of being chop "ditahan".

there's lots of cases of held up since Dec 2010 todate. we are all rolling under a knife see who kena. There are people kena even for 100ml.

Good luck, bro.....

mind telling us your parcel content? only liquids? how many ml ? e-cig kits? accessories?

You must bring all your payment documents. Invoice....can bring also, but chances they won't believe your invoice, and will valuate the goods themselfs.

Now you know how difficult it is for e-cig resellers......price competition, warrenty claims, product changes quick, and customs.

After the customs....hope to hear your experience there, good or bad.

aiyo...seeing this make me afraid to buy juice from tasty vapor...especialy i live in sarawak..i cannot imagine how much it would cost me if my juice is confiscated and i need to go to klia and pay this and that and then fly back to sarawak... :(

hi goodsmilez..i have bought from heaven gifts(China) a few items(battery/cartos/e-liquid 30ml)..and dont have problem getting my package..only 14 days it took to arrived..if small quantity & personal use, likely U will get it
U know Trinitrophenol is from Singapore..he is a different category for importing e-cig as Singapore is strict and regard e-cig as analog,i think..regards mafig

sorry.. i never buy from oversea... if that is true then it is a good news then.. since kuching airport is not far from my home...

Even in Kuching airport, there's been case of e-liquid being confiscated. There's a seller based in Sarawak told me once that he had a shipment confiscated. However, I'm guessing that his was a big shipment. The bigger the shipment, the higher the chance.

i don't understand this, if the item is taxable , why is it being confiscated ? unless he refused to pay tax ... is it ?

The thing that is confiscated is the e-liquid with nicotine content. The reason is that nicotine is listed in Malaysia as a poison, and use or importation is controlled. If you wanted to import, you will need to register it with the Ministry of Health, most probably show that it is going to be prescribed or controlled in terms of use and distribution, and pay loads of money to prove this or that and submit this or that, or send for a lab test for this or that.

If it is not registered with MOH, you get it confiscated. Even if it is registered, the taxes on e-liquid based on the HS code is 60% + weight. The weight is something that is very difficult to calculate before hand, as each kilogram can be charged at different rates from 2 different shipments.
