This is gonna be quite a ways off topic, but I'm gonna rant a bit. Congrats to all who have taken the vapour journey, but, here goes:
It's not easy to spread the love sometimes. People who want to switch from analogs to e-cigs are often so hung up with the cost of that initial purchase of an e-cig kit. What's 200+ ringgit in e-cig equipment when they are spending 300 or more a month on analogs? Still, they are thinking of the cost of e-cigs. Anyone whom I talk to about e-cigs, and they can't accept the cost of 100+ to 200+ in e-cig equipment, I basically give up on.
Bottom line, they keep thinking that they are going to pay this money and are afraid that it will not work for them, end up they pay for nothing. If you go into the switch to vaping with that kind of thinking, you're basically thinking that you're gonna fail in your effort to switch. That's what the chinese call "losing the battle before it's fought". If you want to stop burning tobacco sticks, and you go into vaping with a negative attitude (it may not work), I can assure you, it may not work for you in the end. If you go into it with a positive attitude (this is a healthy alternative, just need to adjust a bit to it), then your chances of succeeding is improved 10 fold.
For newbies out there....it doesn't really matter how much the cost of the e-cig and accessories are going to be. If you REALLY WANT to replace analogs with a much much healthier alternative, e-cigs are the easiest way that I've found, and I'm sure that many here on ECF will happily put their hands up to agree with me. For me, paying thousands of ringgit now to switch to vaping is better than paying thousands later for medical bills. I've spent lots of money on e-cigs and mods, let's not even count the consumables, and I've never regretted it. I want to see my son grow up, and I want to live long enough to do so. Aside from marrying my dear wife and having my son, finding financial stability, switching to vaping is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
Have I quit smoking? NO...I HAVE NOT.
Am I still smoking cigarettes? NO !!
Am I still smoking? YES, BUT SMOKING A HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE, E-CIGS.
I AM AN E-SMOKER, AND PROUD OF IT.
Good luck to all with your vaping journey.
