the rubbery one you take out to refill a carto,,,,,,,should it be pushed all the way in so that it's flush with the carto,,,,,or should it be sticking out a little????????? does it even matter?

hehe, I don't think it matters at all, Holly. Some people even just toss them, though I prefer to keep them. I like mine sticking out just a little instead of flush with the rim of the carto - probably because my old teeth are sensitive to metal (I have a tendency to chew the ends) and it's easier to remove them when time to refill (the carto end caps, not my teeth).

I agree, it doesn't matter because even when flush it won't contact the filler, but I like to keep it sticking out a bit so that I can remove it easily with my fingers to top it off.
