Howdy folks. I haven’t been a good community member over the passed year or so. Not much contribution. Sorry for that.

It strikes me as odd where I have landed. I did a lot of experiments, started with a mig vapor cig alike, and what I’ve landed on after about 5 years is a Pico 21700 with a profile rda. I rock home brewed unflavored liquid, and this setup has done me well. Probably about 3 cigs in that 5 year span, and that was only due to curiosity and/or lack of vape-ables. Vapor products are absolutely a powerful tool in the kit for “harm reduction”. My nic is so low, that if it weren’t for the fact that my significant other still smokes, I’d either be totally done with nicotine or totally done with the pathology.

I was disturbed to receive an email from Nude Nicotine that said they would no longer be able to ship to individuals (though I preempted my states ban by purchasing a 3 year supply). I thought the attacks were done, but I suppose I haven’t been paying close enough attention.

Adam Curry of the No Agenda podcast outlined the nature of the offensive by big tobacco deftly about a year ago (I wish I had a link, but I’d if you are interested, you will be able to find the content). It was accurate and it looks like the attack had greater follow through than I thought.
I am saddened that this continues even through these tumultuous times. Wishing you all luck; this works!

Oh, one more thing. To newbs and vets alike. Don’t get hung up with fancy $h!t. It’s a lovely distraction, but if your goal is to move out of addiction, finding the new TC-titanium-flavour-puffing-cloud-machine-@-200w is another addiction. It’s good to do research and figure out what works best for you, but be mindful of the fact that this too is an addictive behavior. Try not to let it get out of hand. Cheers:)

Welcome back.

I don't think you are the only one - I joined ECF in late 2015, did a bit of experimenting for a few months, learned to build coils, mixed my own E liquid etc ... then settled happily into a rut with my iSticks and Nautilus Minis and dropped out of the Forum for a while.

After a few years when my old kits started to give up the ghost I came back discovered Innokin's gear stayed for bit and repeated the performance until Covid came along with its lockdowns.

Lockdown gave me time to reflect and time to read Forum posts again ... and to appreciate how much I'd learned here and being honest how much I owed the Forum so I made up my mind to stay around and help where I could.

You're also right about chasing the latest greatest kit ... but it keeps the manufacturers in business!

It's a melancholy time here.

I arrived at ECF at a time that dozens of smokers were posting revelations daily about this wonderful way to stop smoking. Between vape meetups and shared ideas, it was in inspiration almost every time I logged in.

As I approach my 10 year vapeaversary, we are scrambling to stock up, wondering whether we can get supplies shipped after next week. Vaping has effectively been throttled here in the US.

I'm selfishly happy we found this great smoking alternative but know many smokers will suffer going forward. At least we have this place to share ideas and keep vaping alive until common sense overcomes big tobacco and big pharma's interests. It's going to take some time.
