I just ordered a bottle of Shire Malt and Long Bottom Leaf, mostly because the names are appealing since I used to be a big Tolkien fan. Anyhow, I was snooping around for some reviews, and I came across a post somewhere about having to dilute these juices (or rather sauces) to use with cartomizers other than the type of dual coils they sell on the epipemods.com. I am a little confused about this.

Can I not simply use them on a normal Low Resistance carto on my Ego? From what I understand they were saying that they wouldn't absorb into most cartomizers because the juice is thick. Sounds like its just a vg juice to me. I havent had problems with the vg juice i've used before. Maybe there is something different about this stuff.

If anyone can clear up my confusion I would appreciate it. I'm just trying to find out if i get the pleasure putting more dints in my bank account buying more types of cartos .

I have not had any experience with those juices but just read a comment about thinning Bobas Bounty for a carto which is another thick juice... The poster said one drop of distilled water per 1ml of juice should do the trick... You could also do a drop of pure grain alcohol or vodka in the same ratio if you find the water takes away the throat hit...

Regardless I would love to hear what you think on those juices... Pipe sauces have been near the top of my "To Try List"

Edit: Forgot to mention that a Luer Lock 16 gauge syringe works well to fill cartos with thick juices and also you could always email/Pm Matt and see what he suggests....

Edit #2... One drop per 2 mls to thin....

I have tried a few of their juices and they are quite good in my opinion. They are high quality - well made... flavors are somewhat unique... I don't immediately place them. I don't think the shire malt was too thick... worked fine on my atties and mega cartos... it's thinner than a of of AV juices and I used those.

With that said, a standard res carto on an ego wouldn't be my preferred set up for thicker juices... or even shire malt... I'd go Standard Res on a 5 v...

it should work, but it may not be the optimum set up.

Alright. Thanks guys for the feedback.

When I was reading the posts that I mentioned I thought they were talkin like molasses or something lol.
I'm using some ave juice at the moment, so if its thinner than that I suppose it should be fine
I don't think I'm gonna get a whole new set up just to try these juices, I can't afford to go that far, haha.

How was the Shire Malt and what other flavors have you tried? Hi by the way!

I got my order from epipemods a few days ago. I went ahead and tried the Shire malt straight out of the mail. First of all this juice is the cleanest tasting that I've had so far. Most of the other juices I have are Dekang and they have a chemical undertone, but the Shire Malt doesn't have that, which is awesome.
I used it in a low resistance carto..To me it tastes pretty unique, so i'm not sure if I want to attempt to describe the flavor. I am getting a hint of the blueberry that other people have mentioned. It's very good though.
For now I'm gonna try to leave it alone for a while for steeping purposes. I don't want to use it all up before it reaches it's potential!
One last thing: I think that the epipemods people could open a side business for air fresheners, because this juice smells really good haha.

I'm very impressed with this juice so far.

The website implies that the juice is 98% VG or so. At least the Sweet Georgia Peach and Long Bottom Leaf that I've tried seem a bit thinner than a juice that almost 100% PG. For what it's worth, I've been using these juices for 5 days straight on my eGo-C's and they haven't given me the slightest problem.

I don't get the impression that these juices need to steep, but then again I'll probably never know because the bottles will be long gone by the time they would get there!

I would love to try the Long Bottom Leaf and Shire Malt, but it seems they are only available in 30ml. I wonder if I could get a sample before ordering a big bottle...

Might be worth asking. I was so curious about this stuff that I took the plunge and bought the Long Bottom Leaf and the Sweet Georgia Peach in the 30 mL's. For what it's worth, I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and it saved me the trouble of having to turn around and reorder, as I've vaped about 10 mL of each pretty quickly. I'll be reordering soon and I'm itchin' to try the others (especially Shire Malt and Oak Barrel Cider). Sample bottles and more reviews sure would be nice though.

Ok, this thread pulled me in.

No sample sizes, ok.

First bottle I opened is the georgia peach. It went from a carto I decided to sacrifice (to unknown juice) to a tank in about 10 minutes.

It is very smooth. I think I would call it honey and peaches. Not overly powerful. It is clear and pretty thin. Turning up the voltage doesn't make it bitter in any way.

Also bought a bottle of the cider. Haven't had time to try it yet.

I've had the Cider since I last posted in this thread and it's awesome! I was a fan of Backwoods' Applewood and Halo's Midnight Apple, but I think this one has them both beat. So far I'm not sure which is my favorite -- Long Bottom Leaf or Oak Barrel Cider, and Sweet Georgia Peach isn't far behind. They all perform really well too.

Tried the cider. It is a lot like the peach. Just got them in the mail yesterday though. Really want to try the blueberry one. The sweetener in these is really a good one.

I'm quite happy to find likeable flavors. When you first start it is hard and it seems like you are just throwing cash down the toilet. And you wait.

I think the apple is a little more pronounced in the Cider, but it's a nice, crisp flavor. What I really love about the peach is that it's really well balanced with the other flavors. In my experience with other fruity tobacco vapes, the fruit usually completely dominates out the other flavors. Georgia Peach is more well-rounded, like an infused cigar or pipe tobacco. LBL is reminiscent of the other two, but the flavor is really hard to pin down.

Yeah, it's really tough to find good juices, especially when you're starting out. I've been totally impressed with these juices, and I've pretty much always had one going in one of my devices since I first ordered them a month-and-a-half ago or so. They're 3 for 3 in my book. I'll probably end up with some eventually, but if you get the blueberry, be sure to let us know what you think about it. I'm really curious about the other three flavors.

Thanks for the update on those sample size bottles! I think that's what they need in order for that line to really take off. I've been pretty curious about Shire Malt, but yeah, I don't know what to make of the description. Same with Grandpa's Cough Medicine, although I think that's gotta be one of my favorite names for a juice that I've seen!

Sounds like you've got the perfect day ahead of you!
