Howdy, forum :)

I got an ePuffer Super-Mini as a christmas gift this year. I've been browsing/searching through these forums for more info on this product and have a few questions regarding this model:

I've seen a few people suggest that this is a re-branded KR-808D1. It certainly looks similar. I was wondering if anybody could confirm this. I want to purchase another batter and atomizer and don't know if I have to stick to purchasing from ePuffer.com (it took nearly 3 weeks for the product to arrive).

If it's a KR-808D1, or some other model, how compatible is it with other parts? Can I get better-quality atomizers or batteries with the same threading, etc, or am I better off buying another incompatible brand for my second ecig?

I'm very happy with the form-factor (about the size of a normal cig), and haven't noticed a battery life issue (currently it lasts all day for me and I throw it on the USB charger at night). My only complaint is that I'm going through 3 cartridges a day, but the starter kit I received didn't have any eliquid, so I'm sure that problem will be resolved when I get a few bottles in.

Oh, I guess I should confirm that I am actually going through 3 cartridges a day: after a bit of use, I stop getting vapor. I'll still taste tobacco or coffee flavor, but no vapor. If I let the ecig sit for a few minutes, I'll get ONE drag with vapor, then nothing. I'm assuming the cart is dried out and when I let it sit, what little liquid remains is dissipating through the cart, but at this point, I'm changing carts because I've read that burning the atomizer dry can shorten its life, etc.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm committing that typical forum-newbie mistake of asking questions already answered elsewhere, but I have searched and haven't stumbled upon the right answers and wanted to get some of this stuff nailed down soon (I want to order eliquid and maybe some spare cartridges SOON, and figured I'd order spare parts at the same time)

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe the "E-Puffer Super Mini" coincides with the Joye 306 model. Awhile back, both electronic-stix and rocky mountain vapor offered spare parts for the 306, although not sure about these days, hope that helps =).

Right on! That's gotta be it. I was confused because the cartomizers for the KR8 didn't look similar to my cartridges. Pics of the Joye 306 look exactly the same. Now I know what cartridges to order :p Thanks, Runnybabbit :)

Ames: I dunno if you're still paying attention to this, but I picked up a Joye 306 and a Joye 510 battery from ElectoNicStix and while they're compatible, I have to say: the Joye products give an easier drag (it takes a harder pull to activate the ePuffer, or maybe that's just my particular device), and I've quickly fell into the habit of mainly using the 510 battery with a manual button and using the automatics as my backups, as it seems more intuitive. It's comforting knowing I can press/release a button to regulate the length of the drag rather than "suck ... not lighting up ... suck harder ... there it is ... oh, wait ... the inhale weakened and the light went off ... suck harder ..." of the automatics :p
