Love my era and love my hornet. As long as your friend's era isn't a v1, I would say jump on that, 45 is a good price.

How you can tell the v1 from v2 is the threading is longer on the v1. Stay away from it if it is a v1. :)

V1 is ok just put an oring under the atty so it cant thread on too far Oh the V1 is great I use mine daily and love them

Or you can pay more for a used ERA than a new Reomizer costs and some o-rings for it and hope it does not bottom out and short your Reo, because fixing that is not covered in the warranty!

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/336721-era-rba-your-reo-warrenty.html

I have used A7s too in the past and they work well as long as you screw the centre pin up as far as it will go. They are even cheaper at about $18-$20, but here's the thing: if a new Reo runs you $150+ why in God's name are you going to use old gear on it?

Eras and hornets and A7s are decent rebuildable atomisers - but none of them are a patch on the RM2 and i'll tell you why. The posts on it are m i l e s apart, so you have loads of room for any coils you make and the bottom is ceramic - this means that you cannot short it to the base - even if you press a coil down so it touches.

Once you include shipping, it would actually be the same price. I thought about trying that little reomizer but actually the post being so far apart is what turned me off. Also the juice hole on one side and not in the middle. It makes me wonder if it has a difficult time wicking. I use mesh in all my drippers so I am very particular with my builds. I am only going on what I see, cause I haven't used one.

Been using the ERA or hornet for I guess almost a year now, no problems, but I do have a v2 era. A7 is a decent rba, but the build is difficult especially with mesh, also it can be fiddly when trying to adjust the post. I also hate anything that has an air hole in the threading.

For 45 bucks, I still say go for the era, or tell me your friends name and I will buy it. Ha Ha

I would have to take the other side of the fence on the vote for ERA. I have had a hornets and i favor the RM2 by a big margin. While i think the hornet / era is a good RBA, i think the RM2 is a great RBA.

The ERA / Hornet relies on juice being dripped out of a hole in the post and must rely solely on wicking to feed the coil. No drain hole in the bottom and no sloped bowl makes this RBA prone to flooding and inconsistent vape quality. The posts are very close together.

Conversely, the RM2 has the hole right under the coil / end of the wick. The juice is supplied directly to the coil. Excess goes back down the hole. It also has a ceramic base. Can't say enough about how user friendly and durable that makes it - no insulators to wear out, and one less surface to short against.

The RM2 also vapes superiorly. The hornet heated up during chain vaping. The RM2 does not. It provides a very consistent hit every time.

There is only one other bottomfed RBA that is comparable to the RM2, but it costs 4 times as much, if your lucky enough to find one on the classies.

Many of us have sold chalices in favor of RM2s. I have yet to hear of anyone selling one in favor of an era/ hornet :)

I love my ERA, but I would vote against it :(

ERA is very nice, but does not give you much options as far as coil and wick configuration, and it's expensive.

RM2 gets you a better atomizer that allows you to set up your wick in all kinds of ways, and, unlike the ERA, it's amost impossible to setup a coil that would be outright bad.

And, if you prefer the looks of ERA, there's an identically looking clone. The quality is not as good as real ERA, and you'd have to spend about 20 minutes modding it for bottom feeding, but it ends up performing better than the real thing, at least for me.

I'll just say here that porous ceramic is dreadful in it! I tried and it might as well be a dripper. The coil is good but the vape is like a mother-in-law's kiss!

Back to my cosy world of RM2's and silica or nextel!

If the tail of your wick is against the post on the era where the juice comes out and the other end on the bottom there is no issue with wicking. The a7 can easily be converted to a side breather. As far as the hole on the remixer being to the side it can be beneficial with the wick laying in the right spot. They all have there pros and cons personally I'd recommend anyone of them to varying people all just depends on how you vale and how handy you may be or not be. The Reomizer and Era are the easiest and most reliable IMO right out of the box.

Well I just ordered one of those reomizers. You guys talked it up so much that I have to try it. I will say that I love that ceramic in my immortalizer. I still love my eras and hornets, but if it works, then I am all for it, especially at half the cost of the era and hornet.

though I will say it again, at 45 bucks, grab that era, but who knows, I may change my mind once I get this reomizer. Give me a few days with it, I will be brutally honest. :D
