I can see how in the long run these type of attys can be cost effective but the initial cost is a wee bit too much at the moment for something that may or may not be right for me. I am glad so many of you are loving yours tho. :) I guess I'll just continue to help contribute to Cisco's new deck he's building lol....oh and then there's Porphy's move to California and of course when our great leader is back to health and back to shucking wood again I'll want to help him get that new fishing boat he deserves.

One of my three ERAs is perfect and two are out a smidgen bit more than I would like but not as bad as the one in Robert's picture. I'm having to use a shortie 510 adapter on all my Woods. On close inspection of the three new adapters they have more visible insulation around the center pin than the old one I have. Old one I had to raise the center pin on male end which moved the pin to one side. I trust the old one less than the new one but trust in either is not very high.

As all my Woods need 510 adapter I've decided to use extender/adapter only on the VVW, for now, due to it's protection circuit. (Replacing Wood springs requires soldering but Metal springs require only screw.) So I'll stick to the Metal REOs and VVW only for ERA, for now, when I have to use any adapter/extenter as Metal REO springs are easy to replace.

BTW... I did have to raise the center pin slightly on VVW to get it to fire with any of the adapters.

{edit} The male end center pins can be "wobbled" on both but the new one stays more firmly in center position re, it is less "wobbly". I got the new ones at Madvapes. I'd be interested to see the extenders from other vendors.

Not a bottom feeder RBA...it's a drpping atty only

Reading the description on this it states that the air is drawn from the bottom, thinking they mean the atty connector like a typical atty. If this is the case, as long as it fits in the CC of a REO the juice should be able to get into the atty. Guess I will find out in a few days.

You're going to be disappointed. They are referring to the two tiny air holes on the threads of the atomizer...the center post is sealed...the center pin has to be unsealed like the chalice, patriot ufs, or bf era for it to function as a bottom fed atty. The patriot mega is another example...air holes on connector, but sealed center post...won't feed.

If not I am sure my Mill will fix that LOL :)

More interested in the air flow. Small holes tend to clog some times. I like the side air hole that the ERA or the Challis has.

I wonder if the empire mods is unsealed like the one you posted...can't tell from the pic...i really think the version they have for sale is sealed...i hope I'm wrong!
